I know that the hondas have all kinds of companys that make aftermarket ECUs and stuff for them. My question is if there are any piggy back computers for the KA24de. I want to work on my car in stages and would rather tune things myself via a computer or what not. I just want to know if there is any way I can do this myself instead of sending off for a costly JWT ecu.
Thanks

Most piggy back computers will work on Honda as well as Nissan, as far as I know.  I have the S-AFC, it works fine.  ALso, FYI, the JWT ecu is not a piggy back unit, it is a regular ecu, that has been reprogrammed by them.  Completly different setup.  I'm sure Honda has people reprograming as well, and I'm sure it's a similar price/product etc.

haltech....I think that's how you spell it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

and if you get a &nbsp;SR20...then you'll have numerous choices....but for the USDM 240....JWT, Haltech. and I really don't think we need much more..between the two of them, you should be able to do whatever you want.

and of course there are the numerous piggy back components.

There is Haltec, and the Apex'i(?) Power FC. &nbsp; Those are ECU replacements, and you have to tune them yourself.
Then piggybacks, ranging from Fuel Pressure Regulators, to the Apex'i S-AFC. &nbsp; Those are fuel controls.
Also, JWT is a reprogramed ECU, and costs $595 for the initial programming. &nbsp; Then it's $100 for each reprogram after that.
Finally, JET reprograms ECU's with (supposedly) JWT's program, and charge $375 for the initial, and free reprogramming.

yeah that's how you spell it. &nbsp; There are tons of other stand alone ecu's available. &nbsp;AEM, MoTec, autronic, etc. &nbsp; These are going to require more dyno tuning then any other option. &nbsp; The JWT reprogrammed stock ecu does not require any dyno tuning, and even if you did dyno tuning, there is nothing to adjust, so it would be a waste of time.
