Drift Day Novice Comp. Feb 24th, 2008 El Toro

Location: El Toro
Date: Febuary 24th 2008 Sunday Sunday Sunday
Time: Tech Inspection starts 7am, Driver's meeting 8:30am, and start driving at 9am. Track events ends at 5pm.
Price: $125 prepaid or $145 onsite price (paypal [email protected] ([email protected]) or [email protected] ([email protected]))
Drift Max driver: 30 drivers.
Spectator fee: $5.00

**Each driver is allowed 2 free pit crew passes in the morning prior to 9am. Any additional passes required is an additional $5.00**


This competition is for novice and intermediate drivers only. We are encouraging drivers that have never competed to give this competition a try. We will be restricting the competition to drivers who never competed or have very little competition experience

*** These will be single run, single judged, and NO TANDEM events.***

**Also starting this year all helmets are required to be SA95 or higher.**

Nope this is strictly a competition with time for some practice laps and jump right into the competition. Most likely what will happen is that once all of the comps are over, the course will be open to the drivers (paid, signed up drivers. Believe me someone thought that it meant anyone from the streets could drive) to drive like a regular driftday.

Hmmmm so Im assuming its not such a good idea to enter this if Ive had no track time at all(drifting)? Ive been to grip events at SOW etc but never HTM or any other drift events....

BTW my last posts a while ago was when I blew my open diff and couldnt afford LSD for my SW so I had to buy a cheap open diff again and put it in...BUT I HAVE LSD NOW!!!!! Its just a stock TRD Viscous 1.5 way though ;[

City Tires will not be able to attend this event due to a previous commitment to another event.

They will be at the next event in March and wishes all the drivers on the 24th event good luck and that they will see you all soon.

They will however be at the Greddy Festival the day before on the 23rd of February.

ditto!!! i didn't break anything, only used 1 set of rear tires, and had a damn good time!!! tons of seat time, lots of cool people, and i learned ALOT. (like i suck at initiating drifts around sharp right hand turns). we got good video footage too. i'll post it after my brother edits it.

I knew people would complain about the rain... I love when it rains, no burning up tires, funner not your average dry track day, no way to crash just always slide out 360 spin. These cars are not just made to drift or touge on dry tracks. You can go the same speeds to once you get the hang of it. I missed out on this one... I always have things come up... What Drift Day # is this now?
