get some 17x9 +15 - +22 and run some 225/45/17's federals.
It will be fine. Just pick a style of wheel you like.
Have fun.

I think I understand what you are trying to ask. 15's are probably easier to 'drift' because they are lighter than 17's...which is true. Generally, bigger wheels are heavier. I had 15's on my AE86 and when I put my stock 14's I did notice a difference on how much easier it was to break traction with my stock 14s. Is your clutch stock? Upgrading this may help as well with clutch kicks. Good luck with what ever you decide...

if it's all about budget go sportmax or konig rewinds. i used to run rewinds, and for the price i trully liked them.

that should be all you need. 17's might be a little harder for you to turn, depending on skill level, and they are more expensive.
sounds I actually have light weight flywheel for my car with a spec stage 2 clutch the tranny is fully built and locks up great with an open diff. So let me get the right idea you guys are saying 17" or stay 15". I figure tires are cheaper with 15", but 17" I heard are better...... My skill level is pretty good actually. Not a pro of course but i don't ever spin out...Thanks for the help so far just curous though stay 15" go 16" or 17" please let me know what would best I planning on keeping the sohc ka for a while It is a brand new motor.....:hsdance:

I dunno if it were up to me I would take 17's over 15's for drifting, the added wheel weight isn't too bad since you lose a little bit of weight on the tires. The more side wall you have, the more force gets loaded into them from the sidewalls leaning under cornering, the effect is similar to having softer springs. I personally noticed a huge tactile difference going from 15's to 17's on my car, it just feels much more responsive with the larger wheels. :P
