exhaust rattle?

I just put on my new exhaust today and i here a little rattle now.  It sounds like metal on metal type of rattle.  I noticed when the old exhaust piping was taken off, there was a clip with a wire attached to it right before the cat.  I reattached it the the new exhaust piping, but it doesnt fit snuggly around it.  I think this might be the problem.  Is this clip with wire neccessary?  Can i just rip it off or something?

Well i got frustrated so i cut the wire off. &nbsp;It was connected with screws on each end to a piece of metal. &nbsp;Doesnt look like its useful so i cut it. &nbsp;It fixed the problem! &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Thats a ground,you can pull it.Personally i wouldnt,id fix it like it should be,but i would also check you heat sheilds.Crawl underneath or drive it down to your local exhaust shop and pop it with your hand....you will find it real easy that way!
