Powered by max, in my opinion, would definitely be the way to go, but used..... I don't know what to say to that one.

Hey Aaron, you had the chance to check them out in person? Are you going to HTM on sunday?
F&F has 8/6kg so may be better for those who prefer a softer ride, MAX has 10/8kg for a more aggressive ride.
Those function and form coilovers look like they dont drop down as far just by looking at the tall rear bottom mounts, also do the rear uppers have pillow balls? If they do its not isolated from the spring with a proper spring top mount like Parts Shop MAX competition coilovers.

they seem to work well
next coilovers im going is DG5 though
haha
my stance are kicking ass
i got no complaints
and now they make an aluminum series. changing my rears out for that!
yes ill be thre sunday
oh btw.
the reason i dont like the PBM is the spring rates
10/8, imo is not suitable for s13
ive ran 10/8 on s14 on DDs and it is fine
but on s13, its too much
9/7 is what i have now and i might go down to 8/6 soon.
stiffer spring rates doesnt make a coilover better
amyb eagressive but even then, its not necessary
i read a big review in doriten back in the day when they test all sorts of springs rates on cars
iirc th e8/6 and 9/7 were best for s14 and s13
i think Yasuyuki Kazama was the testing guy. he changed springs on his Kei Office
and some o ther guy tested springs at EBISU
it was from like 03 or something
i always ask D1 doods about springs and what rates as well when im in japan. DG5

I love my new superdrifts but yeah 10/8 is too stiff. Thinking about either 8/7 like I ran on the 14 or 8/6

Cool, I'll see you tomorrow then.
I have not bothered to try 8/6 on my car because I am so happy with the way it feels on my ride. But it is simple enough to change and 6kg is available, I may try it in the future to see for myself why some people like a softer setup. The rates were dictated by our drifting guru in Japan, Kawamori Eisuke who rocks the standard 10/8kg in his S13. I suppose I simply trust his specs so much I never thought to ask him why he chose them or if other Japs prefer something else. I drove his car at YZ circuit and Fuji short course and it was the shiz f**king natty. To each his own eh?
