I have never really been in to watching races on tv, but recently i have seen some race footage and thought I might try to check some out. Small problem is I don't know what networks have good coverage of races. I'd like to see the MotoGP, F1, Le Mans, and other such races. I figured Speed network might show them but I don't get that and before I paid extra to get it thought I might see if there are better places to see the races, preferably live.

Speed channel shows all the above, so if you want to watch them you need Speed. To watch F1 live however you will be up early being that the majority are in europe. I watch them live but I'm a nerd who likes to wake up early.

Speed channel has also been showing the SCCA Runoffs during the day the last month or so. They are usually a pretty good watch.

Beware of buying Speed and thinking cool shit is on all the time. NASCAR is constantly on speed, and talkshows about NASCAR, and news about NASCAR, Its frustrating. Damnit turn right every once in a while. But they doo have cool racing on every once in a while like F1, Le Mans, Rallies, DTM racing was on a bit ago, Australian V8 supercars has been on alot recently too.

Which is why they invented the DVR! (that and Day-time soaps :ugh: )

Recording RedlineTV and certain races is a must. It would seem that NASCAR is always on during the prime-time hours of the day/night (basically every time you turn it on)

Yup there's Speed (for most stuff, but sadly the cool stuff is off-hours), and BBC America (for your Top Gear fix). Get a DVR and set it to record everything you're into, that way when you want to catch up on 4 hrs of car stuff, it's all right there for you :)

Edit: They show highlights of Le Mans, but I think two years ago they had a total of 8 hrs of coverage - it turned out to be more than I wanted to watch, so I fast-forwarded through most of it.

Speed Channel is usually pretty good..but i wish they showed more rally stuff (they did before) and more drift stuff but i guess thats why they have shows like Redline/Nopi... but i mean even then all they really show is highlights..
