i searched, couldnt find info.
i'm trying to gather as much info as possible for my homework on doing my swap next year and i noticed that in SCCM on their silvia hybrid how-to, the sr20 throttle cable had to be stretched over the valve cover for it just to fit. I dont think i like this idea and it looks kind of half-ass. I've heard somewhere that i might be able to use the 16v Ka throttle cable because it's longer. Will this work and will it not have to stretch over the valve cover?

what year is your car? ka24de cables are longer than ka24e cables. I have a 92 240, the cable SLEEVE is long enough to reach around the engine, but cable itself holds the throttle open a little when attached. So I just made a bracket from sheet aluminum, works fine. If you have a ka24e, just get a ka24de cable.

ok, great. thanks for the info.
oh and could i ask your opinion on my swap plans?
The setup i'm looking at so far consists of these parts for a 91-93 240sx.
-s13 redtop front clip
-srswap.com base install kit(hoses,belts,etc.)
-srswap.com intake and exhaust kit(intake,downpipe,testpipe,gaskets)
-greddy type s bov
-walbro 255 fuel pump
-jimwolftech 89 maxima clutch
-leaving stock ka exhaust
-use stock ic
Am i missing anything else to do the basic swap? Is the stock exhaust off the ka a really bad idea? Any opinions welcome.

just make sure you have pictures of THE clip you will be recieving before you buy it. alot of times the stock ic can get crushed in the shipping process. make sure whoever you buy it from is very reputable, and will replace anything on the clip that is damaged. you would notice a huge difference in power with a more free flowing exhaust. I would buy a universal muffler, and get custom 3" piping from your cat to the muffler. cheaper, same power results, but wont sound as nice as a aftermarket exhuast.
you plan on using the stock boost solenoid? stock recirculating valve?

just wondering because you didnt list a boost controller or blow off valve. the stock ones are fine to use, if they are in working condition, and you know how to hook them up properly <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

why? are they difficult to hook up? or do they usually not work?
