Try that fiberglass matt and sand it real smooth. I've seen people fix dashboards with it, so it might work?

Not worth it IMO. Go wingless or get an aftermarket wing.

But if you really want to try and repair one, I have an extra I pulled of my hatch. You can have it for practice or whatever you just have to pay shipping.
