hi...currently, my car is pretty stock. I have t28 ballbearing, safc2, plx wideband, fmic, and exhaust with stock boost.
This morning I found out when I turn off my car, I couldnt hear the ballbearing spinning!!! I could hear it last night when I turned off the car, but all of a sudden, this morning, I cannot hear it anymore!! but the car is boosting even smoother than before. I dont hear any weird noise when the car is boosting.
what would be wrong???

Maybe it was the turbo settling in.
Are you supposed to audibly hear the turbo slow down anyway?

Yeah, I don't think I've ever heard a turbo make any noise unless it was spooling or something was horribly wrong..

oh really? but from what I have heard around people....a journal bearing doesnt make any sound when u turn off the engine, but for a ball bearing turbo, you can hear the turbo still spinning freely after you turn off the engine

When was the last time you changed your life blood. I don't know what could have happened but, I'm hard on my s15 Turbo and I still hear her spin down. I boost 1.1hkpa daily, unless there's a weather phenomena

Why don't you just take off the charge pipe and check it out...

Yups, go check the shaft...if it aint making some weird noises, smoking, grinding, chipped fins, then you should be good.

i hear mine spinning down but i have a big shaft turbo,
I had a t28 and my friend has one on his nx. ive never particularly heard it spinning down.
maby with the hood open from out side the car youd hear it, not that it matters, or makes a difference

I have always heard ball bearing turbos spooling down. I would get in there & check it out.

its total toast though, bearings are rattlin like some god damn dice.
I noticed when I didn't hear it compressor chatter like it used to, lol.
