Warning signs?

My mind's going through loops right now. So basically I found this car the other day online and my eyes were all *Big eyes* because it's a '98 240 which is pretty mint for $5800. Interior, exterior, everything. So I email the guy and he sends me more pics. The engine says RB26, but I hope it's a dressing because if it's an RB26 for $5800 then I'm thinking it's STOLEN.

Which in turn I'd have no way to figure out if it was stolen because of this quote of his email, "It is register in Canada and i just move here in Miami with my family, because i was tranfer with my job and i don't want to pay taxes so that i can register it here."

What do you guys think?

Sketchy man, I don't think I would do it. Dunno if canadian cars come with vins but I'm sure they have some sort of tracking system in place. Ask for that so you can run it by the police or through carfax.

For sure seems very sketchy to me, just wanted your opinions. I'm going to email him again and ask him for the vin, but even if I carfaxed it would that cover Canada? He says he has it with him right now in Miami.

You guys = good. Anyway, I'm looking for a 240 (kouki), point blank. I'll be back stateside in less than a month, I'm in the middle east right now for the Army. I've seen one in the for sale forum for 6k but the guy doesn't get back to me at all. If anybody knows any good ones I can fly to get it, drive it back. I can pay for shipping. I'm just looking for a good deal. I've been patiently waiting for a good car. Preferably stock all the way. I'm not going to settle, I'll fish something out from somewhere but if you know any good deals I'd appreciate it.

hahah it says it has a bunch of the RB26 parts, but still lists the motor as a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder. I want to see 850hp on a KA....
