Dunlop new tire (Extreme Performance Summer).
The tire itself (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Dunlop&tireModel=Direzza+Sport+Z1)
The test against other tires (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/TireTestServlet?tireMake=Dunlop&tireModel=Direzza+Sport+Z1&tirePageLocQty=)
I like what I read. Anyone tried these tires yet or heard anything about them??
Discuss!

Isn't that the tire that used to be only available in Japan that the D1 guys were running??

retail price is damn good, imo! I know eh? But I remember when RE-01r were $128 for 225/45/17.... Glaw I wished I bought a few.
So are you going to be the first to try them out??

JTP has been running them all year.

These tires are good stuff. I had the chance to drive a few Subarus with them on... lots of grip, but they seem to get greasy once they start getting hot (kind of like RT-615s).
Not quite as good as RE-01Rs, but they are so much cheaper, it almost doesn't matter.

225/45 /17 is a no no size, its waaaaaaay too tall!!! :(
probably not for a while
i use RE01Rs and AD07s up front
i woldnt mind trying them in the bck though
but i have a bunch of tires to burn thru before that happens.
JTP said he loved them.

Yeah they are... But that's when I had 17x7.5 wheels. But I remember those prices for those sizes and now there like 45 bucks more...
BTW what do you think of RE-01r and AD07s?? What makes them different? Other than the price...

I got a set of these used on a set of wheels, and flipped for them, have been using the lower model Dirreza and have loved it.
Been waiting for these....

These do run on the thicker side fyi. They look a lot fatter compared to thier dz101 counterparts.

They are a little wide. My buddy's 245 Z1s are noticably wider than my 245 RE-01Rs.

i cant base them on teh z1s
i dont have any z1 expirience
the AD07s and RE01Rs seemed to hav tested better then the z1 (se that link) but they also come w/ a hefty pricetag
my friends who runthem in grip (various grip racing events--redline events and such) love the RE01Rs!!!

I have a set of two of these tires. I brought them from Japan and yes, they are really good tires. They handle pretty well and look pretty good, too. I'd recommend them!
