omg that is so facked up. I was recently a victim of a rear end. My g/fs 03 GTI was hit pretty good but survived with minimal damage. The pOs late 80's toyota that hit us needed more than just a radiator support and hood... hehe

My advice to you is only 3 simple steps:

1. Keep record of all contact names, case numbers and general info such as info discussed, time/date & numbers. They (everyone) tend to bounce you around.

2. Get a file holder (or shoe box...) for all the mail you will be receiving.

3. Keep in contact with everyone. Ask questions about the progress of your case to keep the process moving. Far too often do people lag on both ends and extend the claim for weeks or even months before action is taken...

They'll give him a check, or he can have it repaired by one of the shops of his choice. Plus pain and suffering. Tripple a will even give you a rental car as well if its not drivable. I know this because i was hit with someone with tripple a. They took care of my hospital, car, and pain and suffering. Yeah it was pretty bad. Stupid elderly drivers.

They'll give him the check as long as there are no liens on the car. Otherwise the check will be made out to him or the body shop and the lien holder(s). That turns into a real pain in the ass. Also make sure that whatever state you're in lets YOU pick the bodyshop. A lot of states let the insurance company pick the shop. You could end up getting you're car fixed at Maaco or some other place that does shoddy work. Oh yeah, try to make sure you get a FACTORY OEM fender, the aftermarket Taiwanese ones from CertiFit and Keystone fit like shit. Good luck

go to marcos and it will b prolly 3k most you can get. you can try to say the car needs new rims. and door because it wont latch ne more. and frame streighting where the latches, and hindge go.


i worked for a body shop for about a year 1 took paint, body, and estimating classes. i seen worst damage on bmw , lexus get less then 4k
