Go an visit A-Spec Tuning, they deal with RX7s mainly but e-mailed them and they said they should be able to pull off the SR Swap. All the Rex owners I know said its a great place. There are a few people around here with SRs, come to the meet maybe some of em will show. I have also heard good about One6 Motorsports, its a new store though, something like the guy from Drivers Image quit and made his own shop, but don't remember. Also some MR2 guy is making a shop, but won't be ready for a bit, but the shop is big with lots of lifts, you know how those MR2 guys are with thier 3SGTEs.
Your best bet is talking, to UIUC240 (Sp?), or Art (MI SO FST), but he is never on the board. He has an SR, I think Garage Kwai put it in and he did the wiring himself, or calling A-Spec thats what they will tell you if you e-mail them.
Come to the meet on Saturday, we need more 240s, we have like 60+ people signed up add a few for friends and people who read got flyers, but only 4 people are coming from Zilvia and 2 have 240s. Im gonna try to get my friend to come along, but he isn't really into cars but ended up getting a 240.
Good luck on finding a shop.

I think theres a shop in Indy thats doing swaps too. okinawa imports or something like that. From what I here they have a couple coupes that have been swapped. The Indiana guys should know more about that.
okinawa import motorsports would have been perfect, but their webpage is shutdown, and i never took down their phone number, so i dont' know how to get in contact with them, if anyone has thier number, that'd b greatly appeciated. That shop would b ideal if they are still around because they r on 74 RIGHT on my way 2 and from school. That makes it so perfect.... anyhow, any more info on them would b absolutely sweet!
Where is the meet? i can try to make it, but my car is still in Cincinnati Ohio, i dont' have it @ school yet.
Thanks for the replies guys!
oh, and yes, i did want to have the shop do it from start to finish.. i'll b installin my lsd,, but a engine is outa my league, plus gettin an engine,, and getting it to a shop, etc.. could b reallly tough, and i'd rather not deal with it.

I drove to Kansas City to have mine done. And the guy (Oberkill) that did it is now living in St. Louis, but he's super busy right now. I don't think he's going to do any swaps for a while. But you could PM him. It was a good deal, and he's been super helpful after the fact. I've had to fix a few things here and there, but the most important thing is that the car has never failed to run (strong) or get me where I need to go. Only REAL issue was some bum coolant that froze one night and required a tow and thaw and refill. But that's it for major stuff. All the rest has been done by me.
So in other words, I don't know a place in Chicago. But you should come down to Champaign. Do you like Peoria...my old roommate is from there. Big Al's is the shiznit. you should go.
