average temperature for this time of year is something like 35 around here... today the thermometer outside was up to 75! had the windows down, sunroof open, shitty 80's new wave blaring. so awesome. anybody else in the midwest/east get to enjoy this great weather? i had kinda been planning on using my day off to go boarding, but this beat the shit out of that, i can do that anytime.

Hopefully it'll raise back up soon after that. I wouldn't mind the winters here so much if there were mountains around, and if they didn't put salt on the roads at every sign of ice. I usually don't drive my car until the salt is gone, it's torture haha.

there's a ski slope about 15 miles from me with a dozen runs... skiing in the midwest is entirely possible, albeit nowhere as good as the real deal. and no joke about the salt, it's a guarantee that your car will be dirty for at least a week after even the possibility of snow.

There's a snow park here as well, though it's on the opposite side of the city for me. It's fun when I can afford it, but it's nowhere close to riding down real slopes for free haha.
