Looking for tips on how to make this an easy install. only thing ive found browsing the web was this http://www.nissport.com/catalog/product.asp?ProductCode=NS-2100&EquipmentType=Products (http://www.nissport.com/catalog/product.asp?ProductCode=NS-2100&EquipmentType=Products) Seems like it would really make things go smoothly but im looking to install this tommorrow and that probably wont get to my house for a week. Any info on fittings or adapters i can buy to make this work without having to order anything online would be great.

Easiest way of doing it w.o buying anything online is:
allen key
unbolt the 4 allans that hold the oil block to the engine
tap for whatever size your sending unit is
reinstall

f that price

http://tunertoys.zoovy.com/product/OTODK/Oil_Take_Off__Dual_Outlet.html

and yes it fits,
its 1/8bpst male into the block, then on the back is also 1/8bpst so you can use ur stock oil pressure sender

then it has 2 1/8npt on the sides for the guages or oil feed line

same concept as nissport

I have one on my Integra, and it will be installed on my ka24de in a few days

NPT = National Pipe Thread

BSPT = British Standard Pipe Thread

back to school analogies yayyy!

npt is to bspt
as
standard is to metric

I 2nd that, you don't need the stock sending unit (I've done it on a KA, Im assuming the SR has it there too)

Hmmmm.... That little dual outlet is pretty nice. So, this will alow you to hook up a oil gauge and use the dummy light on the dash? Also, does anyone know if there are any issues just hooking up the gauge and scrapping the oem sender? I'm assuming if it's not connected it would cause the check engine light to be on at all times, is that correct?

Yeah, I saw your post, but this question really didn't seem to get answered.

I'm assuming if it's not connected it would cause the check engine light to be on at all times, is that correct?

Reason I ask, is because my check engine light is on at all times and when I check the ECU it gives me code 55. I thought that maybe since I don't have this sensor connected that it is giving me the check engine light.

IIRC the Code 55 means no faults or something like that.

Do a reset and go from there.

Yeah, I've reset it about 5 times and it's still there. When I bought this car I bought it with a bad SR that had rod knock and the shop that did the inital job was shady at best. The previous owner that had this car never swapped over the SOHC cluster and when I pulled that cluster to put the DOHC cluster in I noticed that the check engine light buld had been removed, so I really don't even know where to start to fix this issue.

if you're willing to spend that much, i'd personally get a oil filter sandwich (greddy has the best quality for the price - first had experience. ive gotten cheaper ones, and they suck.)

if you ever wanted to use a oil temp gauge, you wouldnt be able to use the adapter you were looking at, the temp sensor is too long and wont fit inside it (the fitting). but with an oil filter sandwich, you'll have all the room you need.

just the information i needed! got a megan racing oil pressure guage from my buddy for chrismas. just purchased a greddy filter adapter from frsport. install looks like cake!

for those adding a sandwich adapter, make sure you use teflon tape on all the openings!
