As the title says, I was wondering if s13 stock calipers would work on s14's. I'm in need of rear calipers because they are leaking (passenger side).
Would getting a caliper kit fix the leak? Or better to just get a new caliper (they are relatively expensive)? And s14's are hard to come by at junkyards so that's not really a viable option.

Best solution is to get a Rebuild kit.

yea just rebuild if you can. remanufactured rear calipers are like 150 a pop.

i think the rotors are the same size, but the pistons are smaller on the s13. if you swap them, do both, otherwise, the car will be more likely to spin in a panic stop (how much, i don't know). just rebuild them.

Just buy q45 brakes.
Cheap fix and better stopping power.

One of my rears seized up on my S14 a few years ago and i used an S13 Caliper for a bit...Down side is the E-Brake cable doesn't clip into the caliper the same way, which stretched my cable a bit. You can get Rebuilt calipers for $40 at Bapgeon here in VA, but i suppose just a rebuild would be a good idea too. Good Luck!

dude...don't buy rebuilt calipers. they're rebuilt by Guatemalan slave children in a sweatshop.
unless the inside of the caliper itself and/or the piston are damaged, rebuild them. if the inside of the caliper and piston are damaged (from road debris scoring the piston and cylinder wall) then that's a different story.
the kits are dirt cheap and all you have to do is extract the piston and replace the "square" rubber seal. i say square because it is not an o-ring. replace that seal, and the rubber boot that goes around it and of course the metal clip...this will all be included in the caliper kit.
stock s13/s14 rear calipers can be cleverly extracted using needle nose pliers, no need for compressed air.

i have s13 super hicas calipers on my s14, they fit but i havent drove the car yet so i dont know how they will stop.
calipers are cheap! get them used from here thers tons of S chassis upgrading to Z and r32.
i have the rear E brake and caliper for a Skyline and rotors for you to pick up for a price!
rotors you can pick if you like but pickup only on rotors.
juss upgrade.
but s13 would work too

I was gonna say the same thing. If you can wait for a while, wait til someone on here swaps there rears for z32 brakes and they'll probably just give you their old calipers. I gave my front calipers away when I upgraded my brakes.

Hmmm, good stuff. I will probably try to rebuild them first and see if that fixes the problem.
