View Full Version : Hesitation at exactly 2k rpm

Sometimes my car hesitates and jerks pretty bad. When it is running pretty bad, I'll sit at a red light or w/e and rev it up to 2k rpm's. It'll start to bog down and hesitate to 1.2k rpms.
On the other hand, it will drive fine and smooth through a trip and I can rev it around 2k and up at a red light no problem.
I haven't narrowed it down yet but anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

check your mafs, wiring, and timing. what engine are you running? If it's turbo'd it could be a vaccum leak.

o2 sensor
they work their hardest between 2-3k rpm
just replaced mine which got rid of my:
spluttering and wouldnt rev above 2-3k rpm for first minute of driving wether it was warm or cold start
flat spot in rev range between 2-3k rpm whilst driving
150km to a tank of fuel - shitass fuel economy
