i used kbb.com and it came out to around 2,300 to 2400, about.
oh yeah its an 89 coupe, base model 62,000.  300$ pioneer head unit with all new speakers,( no system just new speakers) injen intake, the car's interior is mint, the lady that had it before me never smoked in the car, and kept it very very clean.  i have taken very good care of it, general maintence is always taken care of on time and i have never had a problem with it.
the body is in good shape, its not perfect, it has the occasional door ding, but its a 13 year old car, and their is a dent in the front drivers side quater panel,( the lady who had it before me did it)  i never crashed the thing, in fact i never put a ding in her.
would the car sell better as an automatic or manual...its kinda undergoing a swap now but i want to sell it when im done. but since im in the middle of it i want to know which would sell higher.  my father is telling me that auto will sell better but i was telling him that to a 240 enthusiast a manual will sell better...am i right?
i'm prety sure that covers all of it, if i can ill get pics up tommorow. thanks anyway

An enthusiast is typically going to prefer a 5spd, though most general drivers would prefer an automatic. It's tough to say which way would ge you more money for it, but I could almost garuntee that you wouldn't get back the extra time and money you put into swapping the transmission.

i was thinking, maybe undo the swap, its not that hard, and then sell the car as an auto then sell the the entire tranny swap seperatley. i dont know i'm kinda wondering cuz i passed a gas station today and then stopped to seea 91 RX7 for sale, mint condition the car sounds beautiful...i want it but i need to know if i can at least get 2500 for my car so that if my parents loan me the money i can pay them back.

Interesting, not even one '89 240 that is for sale on autotrader in a 200 mile radius from my zipcode. Very interesting.

I think your car is worth $2500 or so. Research on autotrader and so to see what others are selling their for. In my opinion, you probably have a better chance selling your car if its a stick.

i'm gonna sell it to my next door nieghbor, and he doesnt care if its auto or manual.  i think 2500 is pretty good, i mean when was the last time you saw a 89 240 coupe with 62,000 original miles on the KA.  o well thanks for the replies, i hope i can get the RX7, o yeah its not turbo but the car is just as clean as my 240 is, it just needs a new clutch.

You could probably get at least a couple hundred dollars for your 5sp transmission swap components. . .
