Ok, tomorrow I want to go shopping for gauges. I dont wanna spend more than $70 each gauge. I want gauges that are accurate, but also very good looking in apperance at night( being I have a convertible and live by the beach lol). Im having a tough time deciding.
I have been reading threads about all these gauges, from this site, I just wanna sum it up in 1 thread and hear opinions
Autometer- Most expensive, seems most accurate, doesnt look at good at night
Prosport- Been hearing good reviews, pretty cheap, look good at night, accurate
Glowshift-Same as Prosports.. about same price, same looks
Vote on what you guys think, and post any suggestions, or show pics of what you have.

My stepdad as autometer in his NSX and they light up just fine, but if you want something cheap I'd say check out the STRI gauges everyone has been mentioning.

if you want accuracy you shouldnt cheap out... get autometer, stri, defi, greddy, hks, etc... prosport, megan, glowshit, jdm, etc are just crap... just look up some reviews before you buy

looks like autometer would be your best bet. they arent SUPER accurate...but i had them as my first set of gauges and was happy with them. (and for ~$50 a pop..you cant go wrong. they're customer support is awesome!)

so you just want those for street cred?
theres a purpose for gauges and if you want them for street cred you are headed in the wrong direction.
i vote go sell your car.

Its only for my first car, thats why i want something cheap and looks good. Im not going to buye xpensive gauges for a first car, that doesnt have many mods. Turbo, exhaust, rims, cold air intake, bov is the only extras in it
I love the way gauges look, idc guys

Fuck looks. Performance of a guage should come first.

if it is your first car and you don't care, don't buy gauges.
change your attitude first then you can decide

Powertrain Control Solutions D200 dash logger....
Controls boost too...
I have ProSport gauges. For the money, they're not bad. Stay away from their boost gauges, though. In retrospect, I honestly wish I just saved the money for some baller gauges like Defi's, or something.

stay away from megan gauges...
I got them for free, and I was still pissed. The lighting is SOOOO dull, you can't see it during the day, and my climate control lighting was brighter than it at night
took it off immediately after that, replaced them with a couple Defi's.
To no suprise, the temp and oil pressure readings were different.
Go figure.
Trash gauges = trash readings

Personally I would only use autometer, defi, and a few other select brands but its like 5. People sit and say autometer isn't that accurate...... But if they were not why would a large number of racing series run those gauges?
On a differant topic, you said you were looking for gauges. I have a Autometer Phantom WaterTemp and Oil Pressure gauges(both mechanical) New in box that I am wanting to sell. And I will let them go pretty cheap.

If you want looks and accuracy look into the STRI X-line of gauges. They are pretty cheap price wise, but they're said to be some pretty good gauges. Don't just buy some junk for the looks. The whole point is to be able to accurately monitor your car.
If you are just getting them for looks, something that is flashy and lights up nice at night..scrap that whole idea of gauges and go buy some neons for under the dash, seats, and obviously undercar. Oh and I recommend you check you blinker fluid while your at it
