I installed a Koyo on my KA and the shroud is hitting the clutch fan.

The bigger width of the radiator has pushed the shroud back farther which is causing the fan to hit against it.

I do not want to run electrical fans and keeping the clutch fan without the shroud is pointless.

Has anyone else ran into this problem or is there someway I can keep the shroud on without the fan hitting it? I'm worried the clutch fan might explode if it continues to rub against the shroud.

Just a thought I've never done it before but, maybe trim the back the shroud a bit an drill new holes to bolt it back up again... I don't know just a thought...

just take the shroud off and trim it down till there is enough clearance and then put it back on!

When I installed my rad, it hit the fan. When fixing the shroud, the cheap old plastic busted into a million peices. I'm not running the shroud and temps are exactly the same, about 180 degrees on the highway, and everything else a little below that.

Remember in all those pics from jland with guys with koyo rads and the top of the shroud is trimmed. yah do that.

just a thought, ive ran my s14 with no clutch fan for maybe close to 4 years now with no clutch fan even before i had a koyo. the only thing i had different was a nismo stat. whats not to like about it losing your clutch fan. no truck sound, less drag, my temps were the same. i now have a koyo, nismo stat and no clutch fan or exrta electric fan. i just wired my electric fan thats for the ac system up to run when the ignition is on. i dont think twice about it in 90 degree weather

Most likely your rad support is bent. Either pull it out or trim the shroud.
