hayden electric thermostat?

I might not be much help but i would use the bottom left of the diagram, thats what i used on my fan install, but i didnt have the switch and mine was a flex-a-lite.

Hell no. If you hook up the way they tell you up to the ignition switch, you will blow your ignition fuse instantly.

Your ignition switch is rated for 30A with the load that's already on it. If you pull another 20A you will no doubt overload the ignition switch.

On top of that, 20A is nowhere close to what's normal for an electric fan. Even an FAL that normally pulls 19A can pull up to 30A. Taurus fans are known to pull well over 39+A.

My advice is to use the ignition switch to trip a 20A fused relay and send that current to where it says "IGNITION SIDE OF SWITCH", and instead of sending power straight to the fan from the thermostat, use a fused 30A relay and pull power straight from the battery to the fan.

Think about it and do a little searching on relay on Google. If you're still stuck I'll put together a diagram for you.
