I was going to use my Knockoff B&M off my KA but I just realized the shifter on my SR is a short throw. The only old thing is that the BM is straight up in Neutral while the JDM one is angled back. When it's in 3rd it looks like it's in Neutral. The throw lengths are almost the same.

I dunno which would be more comfortable for Street driving with light Drag/autox.

I know that your B&M knockoff is the same as the one I have, which was suggested to me by who has been one of the most elitist assholes in the history of my circle of friends, so I say use that and sell the unknown "as-is."

i hate b&m shifters.

So this is the first and last time you'll ever see me type the following statement:

Go with the knock off.

I would say B&M knockoff. I have no experience with it, but it looks like it's in better condition.

^^They both have a shorter throw. They both will probably vibrate somewhat also. But i think the one that is angled back more would be nicer.

maybe the jdm one is just on backwards....try taking it out and reversing it.

from the angles shown in neutral your arm length would come into play. If you have longer arms, go with the B&M knockoff, if you have shorter arms go with the JDM.

i'd go w/ the jdm one since it sits closer to towards you.

based on the pics if the knockoff is exactly like the real b&m or even close the shifter is installed in the base plate backwards...

That knockoff shifter was put together backwards. Take it apart and turn the handle around. This is a very common problem. It's a good shifter though. I rebuilt mine just to be safe before use, and used locktite on everything. It's going on around 25k+ miles of hard driving, no issues whatsoever. Also make sure to get a new pivot cup while the shifter is off the tranny.
