Tie rod's
I'm ordering MOOG Tie rod ends from PDM-Racing this week. Any tips on installing them or removing the old ones?

T/C rod's
I already have new bushings for these and plan to press them in with a big vice grip, some peices of wood and a lot of greese. What I need is how to get the old ones out. Both the t/c rod off the car w/out breaking/stripping the bolt (tips??) and how to remove the old bushing. On the removal, I'm hoping to burn it out but I'm not sure how.

I've never done it myself, but I've heard you just burn them out with a blowtorch.  Make sure you use the torch evenly, and sparingly as you don't want to melt or warp anything.

make sure you have $ to get your alignment done after your chage the tierods ends, the MOOGs are a little bit longer (or was it shorter?) than stock... either way, you can't keep the jamming nut where it was stock, so it's guestimating to get it right w/o all the equipment to do alignments.

Good luck with the T/C rod bushings, I didn't bother with messing with a bearing press (seriously, you'll need the luck), I just got whole new rods w/bushings already mounted.

edit: I just remembered, be REALLY carefull not to push on the centerpiece (steel tube in the middle) too hard, or it'll tearr the rubber of the bushing, Also, don't use the vice grips in the outer ring as it bends pretty easy and will also break the seal.

Tie Rods- Pull the cotter pin, loosen the nut.  If you plan on resusing (which your not) you can leave the nut threaded a few threads to protect it.  Get your BFH (big fucking hammer).  While lifting or pushing on the tie rod (whichever way it will come out) whack the collar on the knuckle where the ball joint passes thru.  Need to hit it square on and pretty hard.  The ball joint will pop out of place.  Don't miss.

The TC rod you can burn it out and the CAREFULLY cut the outer race out, or use a press and press the old one out.  It's a pain in the ass.  The new ones press in relatively easy, can be done on a bench vise.

seriously though, we went thru this process when I pressed in my t/c bushings.... it was a while back though, and quite a pain in the ass...

edit:
screw it, I couldn't get the search to work either so I'll summarize the t/c's:
-remove the old ones any way possible (I cut the bolts 'cause they were siezed real good.)
-burn the old bushings out w/ a torch and some patience.
-cut out the metal sleeve from the inside of the rod
-lube the inside of the rod real good
-press those suckers in.

Do remove the inner metal cylinder though...and toss it.

Just FYI, but MOOG is available nationally from many places...Car-Quest mainly. &nbsp;Some Autozone, Pep Boys, Parts Express, too. &nbsp;I got all my MOOG parts from Car-Quest. &nbsp;No reason to pay for shipping and handling from Canada for these things.

Oh, and I just had mine installed by the alignment shop.

A nice option is to get pillow ball t/c rods too. &nbsp;this was an impressive upgrade for me (going from blow oem stuff) &nbsp;No idea how much better (if any) than the poly ones would be.

The reason I suggested astroglide way back when was that u can pick it up at any drugstore, is non reactive and slippery as hell.
