^no. if you installed a new battery it should start..... even if the alternator was bad, it would still run for a couple miles. check the starter like posted above.

He said none of the electrical components will work. Reground your chasis and engine grounds, and check for corrosion.

ditto.
bad ground on battery and starter maybe. same wire.
if not bad starter. Whack it while someone trys to turn over! AFTER you have looked at the ground and it seams good!

Check the 75 amp main fuse in the underhood fuse box near the battery. That would explain none of the electrical working, however it should start even with the main fuse blown I believe. You may also have a bad starter.

make sure you check the fuse box like the guy said above first.. That's usually the cause and that's what happened to me too

no i dont think it's the 75amp fuse. i had the same problem but, my car would turn on it just that that electrical wouldnt work untill i rev the engine
i've must of change the battery twice and the alternator 3 times but after i changed it it started to work....back to the subject yea check your starter, funny thing is that im having the same problem since today.

More than likely is your starter, or a bad ground somewhere. if not then its the alternator. i replaced the one in my moms tahoe because it just completely shit the bed, but all good now. goodluck

i deal with this shit all day at work. But since you just installed a new battery, boost the car. if it starts and runs for a bit than soon dies off, your alternator is finished because it isn't keeping a charge in the car.
but the play could have sold your a bad battery, i have seen it happen before. if you turn the key and it just keeps clicking, this is a sign of a finished battery
if it clicks once, its your starter

its probably the main fuse... 75 amp....

if none of your electrical components work you might have blown that grey fuse in your hood. everything else should be working if the battery is new or at least charged up. if you blew that fuse someone might have switched up the cable neg to pos and vice versa. check those and report back GL

Check the wires from the ignition switch to your starter. For awhile mine just clicked and I had to bypass the ignition switch and just installed a push button starter switch.
