Well I blew my head gasket and after wrestling the head out a few vac lines were cut or torn. Now that the head is out and intake partially dismantled what do you guys think I should do about my vac lines?

The car is a '93. Most of the vac lines are cracked and brittle, hence why I want to at least replace most of them. But what can I just remove and cap off? The car still needs to pass smog but thats a year and a half away.

Also I found a thread on KA-T about what can be removed but it is based heavily on pics but none of the pics work

Only keep the IACV and EGR vacuum lines, if you still want EGR. I passed a smog with no EGR, no AIV, no cat, and no charcoal can.

Is there a way to bypass the check engine light for the egr(with out messing with the ecu)?

Thanks for the link. I looked there and missed it.

Any info on the check engine light? Can I fool the ecu into thinking the egr is working properly?
