yeah i searched around about taking the valve cover off a ka24e i was just wondering do i have to replace anything when i do take it off like gaskets and such? or the gaskets are reusable & and i can just put the valve cover right back up? thanks in advance!

look at the gasket. if it seems re-usable (not torn up or warped) then re-use it. just use common sense..........

didnt open anything yet.. just asking a question just wanna check to see i dont break any seal so i have to replace the gasket.

if you remove it carefully then you should be able to reuse it. if you hamfist it (as i've been known to do) then you should replace it. an old gasket + silicone can be reused a few times.

Alright you can make your own O-ring gasket... goto any industrial material store.. get for instance 1/8 thick O-ring gasket material(its on a spool)... Measure it out get the loctite super glue attach it and you have a home made O-ring gasket... that cost you practically nothing compared to buying a new one or using loads of nasty rtv.... and you can use that to make any O-ring fitting..
