Metal wide body quarters?

Does anyone make metal wide body rear quarters for the S13 or S14? Or is there any wide body rear quarters that fit other cars that can possibly fit? I have searched and came up with nothing. I got my heart set on wide body rears but I dont want fiberglass.

A lot of work and a lot of added weight too.

Why do you not want fiberglass by the way?

It's cheaper and you don't have to go the custom route.

Are you not wanting to do it because of fear of hitting something and the frp getting more fucked up than metal?

Steel is real! lol. I honestly have thought of the same thing. I am not a big fan of glass, but mostly everything I have worked on in the past is with mostly metal. A good way to make flares to to pie cut the fenders. Pull the strips out too where you want the fender to be, and fill in with metal sheet. Sounds complicated, but not as much as you would think. I did it on a 914 parts car, and it came out pretty well. A lot of the vintage scca guys do it, when they are in classes that do not allow fiberglass panels. Just a thought.

I want to do metal because I have used fiberglass in the past and it seems to do nothing but crack whether it be stress related or what not. I am currently building my S14 and I just dont want any fiberglass panels if I can. I want to keep it all ureathane and metal. I already fabricated S14.5 fenders, and as you all know the S15 fenders are a bit wider so to even it out I want to put widebody on the rear plus I want to use a pretty wide tire. The catch is I want to fade the widebody in to a all one piece look. It just seems in the past when I have done this the bodywork always lifts under the paint where the fiberglass meets the metal. I have heard this happens because the fiberglass and metal heat up in the sun and both have different expansion points so they start to seperate from eachother.

You can try and cut and remove metal fenders from another car and cut, bend, and weld them onto your S14. I went with Porsche 944 fenders on my S13 just because i wanted to add in the lines of an S15 for my tail lights. Just find the shape that you want and see where you go from there.

these are the only ways you are going to have metal rear quarters.

the Kogushi Power flares are nice and wide....50 front and 70 rear but they are glass....
