Just got back from looking at an S13, and needless to say I made a deal to buy it (private sale). It's not official yet, as the paperwork isn't done, but I did put a deposit down.

It's an 1989 red 240
167,000 km (~105,000 miles)
Original owner
New battery
New alternator
New complete exhaust system
New hanger bearings
New belts
Passed emissions
No rust at all (oil coated every year for 13 years)
Pampered like a baby
Receipts for everything

We made a deal at $3500 Canadian (~$2200 US).
The guy got it checked for certification and all it needs are front rotors and pads, as well as rear tires.

I took it for a drive, first time in a 240, and all I can say is... Nissan you magnificent bastard! &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':thumbsup:'>

The paperwork as well as the rest of the payment is probably gonna be taken care of in a week or two... so it won't be mind till then. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>

In any case, I'm currently in a daze, as this is my first car. That pic is from the car ad, but as soon as I get it other pics will be taken and posted.

i've been on the look out for another 240, and there are a ton of people in the trader. but they are asking too much, saw a 93 for 10,000 infact the are still a few s13 over 8500, i dont understand. there is an auto coupe with 83,000km and it's been up for a year. you'd think they drop the price and rid of hte thing instead of paying $23 or so every 3 weeks for the add.

there is a white 97 been up for more than 2 years i think, still asking like $17,000, auto

bing: I know what you mean man, 240's are getting damn expensive. I blame it on all those kids who think it's the "shiznit" or whatever and are gobling them up like the next civic. I mean I rarely ever see an s14 here in London, but I can spot three s13's in like 5 minutes on my way to the mall. It was never like that several years ago.
