a little B&E anyone? :bite:

so. being sunday, we do our thing downtown. we've had a guy following us around the past couple weekends filming a 'documentary' of what we do. kinda cool. apparently he now has to edit it. hopefully i can get a copy when he's finished. school project for CCS in detroit. if i can get a copy, ill post it here. i really cant wait to see how it turns out.

anyhow, today was no different. but we heard of a couple locations we've never been. 1 being an old ass church off gratiot. we were told, 'you only need a credit card to get in'... ended up using a flat head screw driver to get the door open. lol. i was blown away for the most part. well, heres some shots at the church.

i dont even know the name of the church. it was old, and all locked up.

my buddy drew being a jackass.

it was obviously a school, as well as a church.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2008/2082416174_6fc8ffd34f_o.jpg

there were classrooms and shit in the basement, but it was much too dark to photograph.

snow. woot.

this didnt quite have the creepy effect i was going for. but it really was..
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2326/2081581393_034bed111e_o.jpg

then we headed to the main downtown area. an abandoned building right in the middle of downtown.
our 'little birdie' told us.....'its always open'.... the lafayette building.
the entire bottom 3 floors are boarded up.. but theres a small openening that ive never noticed. and ive
walked by that bitch like 30 times. we found that fucker though. not toooo interesting on the inside. but the
clouds were fucking win. and it was foggy as shit.

Woah, sweet pics. I used one of the fog pics as a background on my laptop. That place definitely looks haunted. In the first picture it looks like a bomb just went off.

yeah, you always have to watch where you step. could be through a hole, down a floor or 2. or on a nail, or something.

thanks guys. im far from taking great pictures. they're mediocre at best. but its still fun doing that shit up.

going through some pics i have. i edited a few more. figured i'd toss them up.

Packard Plant. where they built packard cars way back when. kevin and grant.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2348/2087279665_9058c0dd74_o.jpg

same place. 3.5 million square feet. one of the many many rooftops.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2258/2087272983_1aaa4067c9_o.jpg
it was raining like crazy that day. got hammered and soaked that day.

a re-edit of the same pic above. the old church we went to on sunday.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2339/2088051090_e16ecff0e1_o.jpg

same church. upper deck seating.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2089/2088051082_9d9dd10716_o.jpg

weird, huh?
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2001/2087251943_74f95c0fbc_o.jpg
if you cant read it, it says 'And You Shall Say God Did It'.

another one from the top of the Lafayette building. it was quite foggy that day. the buildings all dissapear in the background.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2100/2088030276_3178c40a1c_o.jpg
the difference between this building and all the others? this one is in the MIDDLE of detroit. i should have snapped a shot of our access point. its effing crazy. right off the sidewalk. some dude saw us pop out when we were exiting. his eyeballs almost popped out of his head. lol.

riverfront. the water on the lens is from all the damn snow. it was comming down like crazy. the faint lights on the left of the shot are windsor ontario...yup, canada.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2279/2087224931_3113c0347b_o.jpg

the ambassador bridge. it connects detroit to windsor. right over the detroit river.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2274/2087857450_3de480e408_o.jpg

thats all folks.

we're scheduling a trip to mackinac (pronounced mackinaw) island in january. kind of a cool place. looks like fun in the winter time. there are no cars on the island. so in the summer, you ride your bike or horse/buggy around on the island. you take a ferry to the island. but in the winter, you take a small, 6 passenger plane there. so we're trying to get a 4 day trip together to get some photos. more info here:
