Legal SR20DET?

I have a 90 240sx coupe . I wanna do a silvia conversion (front end and sr20 swap). I keep seeing so cal owners with the engine swap in magazines. Is there any place that will smog a sr20det equipped 240 in california, so I can use it as a daily driver, or are these show cars only.

There are plenty of places that will smog you.  You just have to find them.

as for the newbie: no all JDM engines are not smog legal..u have to pay for ppl to smog them for u, and yes they are for show but do the cops know? no. "Silvia Conversion?" which one, there are 4 diff conversions u can do s13,s14,s14a,s15 you pick.

well actually i remeber alot of people in cali asking this same question so a search is justified in this case newbie or not.
