Hi! I just bought a used C's short shifter, and trying to put it in my car. When I take the OEM shifter out, it looks like it is shorter than the C's short shifter?? Yes OEM, shifter is shorter than C's SHORT SHIFTER...........WHY??????? it doesnt make sense.............or is it because i am too high???

Stock shifter sits lower but the length of the stock and c's is the same. The c's pivot ball is located higher on the shifter to decrease the throw but uses a spacer to compensate for the higher pivot point. With the spacer installed the c's and stock shifter should sit at the same height.

ahh so that's why hustlervibes c's shifter sits at stock height yet still reduces shift throw by 40% or so. felt really nice too.

I have the shifter. They are the same height installed, I never really compared them outside the tranny. But the C's feels 234095723048957230948x better :)

Exactly. Its a short shifter only by throw, not height. All determined by the fulcrum point.

C's = awesomeness. Better than B&M that's for sure. Too bad it's discontinued.

for the c's, is it as notchy as the b&m? i think the stock throw is pretty short as is, and i've driven one with a b&m and it was really notchy, so how's the c's feel between the two

I had both, the C's feels a lot better IMO. It feels and shift smooths like a stock shifter but shorter.:2f2f:

I've driven both. IMHO the C's is much less notchy than the b&m. I should point out though that the C's was an SR tranny, the b&m a KA, so YMMV...

Now that I think about it, I've never driven a stock levered Nissan... :loco:

I had a C's for years, there's no play and it's not at all notchy, just like OE but shorter throws.
The B&M is shorter, but does have the ratchet feel to it going into gear.
