I was just wondering if anyone knows where i can get one of these. It's the plate under the pedals.

http://images.superstreetonline.com/features/130_0710_012_z_+nissan_silvia+steering_wheel.jpg

The reason is because my right heel always gets hot/burned while im at the track. I have heat wrapped my downpipe to cut the down the temperature but it still gets a little to hot. So I was thinking that one of these floor plates would help by creating space between the floor and my foot.

If anything I will probably just end up making one myself.

Thanks.

be careful, if you use too much nitrous and ignore the "danger to mainfold" warnings from your laptop, it'll fly off.

you could also try putting the reflective gold foil on the firewall. enjuku uses it on their cars and it's avaliable on their site. the floor plate might work, but if you don't have small feet, it could cause problems with the pedals.

It might be useful though cuz the floor gets super hot right there without any carpet/ sound deadening. Mine got so hot that it burned my heel through my shoe when I drove to north SD county a few months ago.

Sheetmetal at the hardware store - $10.
Hole saw - $10.
5minutes of cutting and drilling to make a custom floor plate - priceless.

That metal will work as a heat sink and then it's only a matter of time until it's hot also.

Hello ,I had the same problem, whatt I used to wrap my down pipe was this insulation thats some type of foil then fiberglass & another layer of foil, now my feet dont get hot at all, I have some Xtra if you want, then I used some stainless steele tie wraps to secure it.

PS: I was at HTM on sat the black coupe with gold wheels( GRIP) you spun directly in front of me in the open session, the track was sooooooo dirty(rocks, dust, dust clouds) I had to off on off on the brakes, due to lack of grip lots of dirt on the trackI wasnt gonna hit you,I saw you with all the hand gestures. ITS ALL GOOD

Next Im gonna mount someting like whats in the picture but wood( with heat wrap glued to the underside) to use as a spacer to position the ball of my right foot where I want it on the brake pedal. The wood wont not conduct heat( as fast )as the metal

say put some carpet in there, or a few floor mats, or welcome mats for that matter

Yea I might try the foil on the underside of the car to reflect some heat, and maybe a homemade floor plate with some insulation between.

Haha, wut up man. Yea i just kinda panicked when i spun and then see a car coming straight at me, and then realized that there was plenty of room between us haha. Sorry about the overreaction.

But back on topic where did u get insulation wrap or maybe i could run up to ur place and pick some up. Or just try and wrap up my DP a bit more with what i got.

Actually It was leftover from a BANKS turbo kit I put on a Ford 350 super duty truck lollol. I think you can order the same stuff from summit or jegs look under DEI product, the sme company that makes the regular heat wrap
