how much should i get it for???

and last question is can someone show me how to put it in or give me a web site that tells me how to do it??

if you spin one tire and the other spins the opposite direction its an LSD. Pulling it out: Unbolt stuff, it drops down. Your done.

you have that backwards.......if you spin one tire(with the car off the ground) the other tire should spin in the same direction......

Wrong.

Anyways, there should also be a orange tag on the pumpkin that designates it as a vlsd.

I read somewhere that in some US 240's that came lsd's are the ones that are HICAS.... but in either case, the orange sticker is probably the best clue, best fit... or a 95-96 infiniti j30...

Do this:

Remove the cover on your stock diff. &nbsp;
Take a &nbsp;paloroid of the gears. &nbsp;
Remove the cover on the junkyard diff. &nbsp;
Compare. &nbsp;

Does annyone know how much he should pay? &nbsp;I don't...

Or it is an SE so you could pop the hood and check for ABS control unit on the left side.. you cant miss it. its big and ugly and all your brake lines will go from the master sylender and go over to a unit by the fire wall.... anyways if it has ABS as far as I have found ABS means LSD (But thats as far as I know for US 240's)

dont listen to these clowns, especially the one who said that us in the US dont have LSDs. We do, I find um in the junkyards all the time and sell um. So hes wrong. As for the tag thing, it falls off sometimes so just do what I said.

All S14 SE's had LSD's, all S13's with Super Hicas had LSD's, and finally all Canadian S13's and S14's had LSD's <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>

Hey there! long time reader, first time poster.....heh

I have a 97' SE and It has an open diff, so apparently not all S14's have VLSD. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Read This. It should help... (http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/limited_slip_differential.htm)

um... okay i'm scared... you're SELLING diffs from junkyards and you're saying that a VLSD is indicated by rear wheels rotating in opposing directions when u spin one of them? &nbsp;So, are you saying that you're scamming people who don't know better or what?

Open diffs are the ones that spin in opposing directions. wtf?

I believe he is actually correct, the wheels should spin in opposite directions as long as it's in gear, meaning that the drive shaft is fixed. If it's not in gear, then the wheels should spin in the same direction. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I believe you're correct. When in gear, the other tire spins in the opposite direction->BUT IT SHOULD BE DIFFICULT TO TURN. When in neutral, they should both EASILY spin in the same direction...

More wrong info. &nbsp;Don't listen to this guy. &nbsp;My S14 does not have LSD, because it is an option on them, as a package deal for ABS and LSD. &nbsp;Which less than 1/2 S14's sold have.

I shall post again.. Who cares which way it turns. check if it has ABS that is a sure way to see if it has VLSD.. becus it was a package deal on the 95+ SE cars. NO ABS = NO LSD.. Its a sure fire way to find out.. I mean we can argue about the tire thing all year..... just look for ABS keep it easy.
