apparently the ebay S13 fastback tails are a complete hit or miss as for as quality and fitment. im not looking for perfect fitment or anything, but something that actually lines up decently would be nice. i see some people commenting about how their ebay tails fit perfectly and other saying they didnt come remotely close to lining up.

i was rear ended recently, and figured i would simply buy new ebay tail lights with the insurance money instead or buying stock zenki/chuki tails. i realize that kouki tails are a possibility, but if i would get any ill just pick some up in japan this spring, also i like how the ebay tails look with aero and shit.

i was unable to find any information searching so if people could post info on what ebay vendor they bought tails from and how the fitment is that would be great because i figure the vendors would continue buying from the same manufacturer, shit, pics would be dope too.

thanks

Well, i bought 2 pair for my buddies, and they fit pretty good. If you want to know which stores online, let me know bro.

if you arent totally anal about oem fitment, they are fine...

they do not fit perfect by any means, and you're supposed to use the kouki lower metal garnish, but it works with the zenki/chuki one, just isnt flush with the taillights.

also, make sure you seal them up good with aquarium silicone, because mine had huge gaps all around the housing.

in this pic you can see how it doesn't fit perfect, but ehhh good enough.

btw, I used dark red transparant oracal vinyl to make them red

I ordered my vinyl on eBay. Make sure you don't get the stuff from Paper Street Plastics, they don't carry Oracal vinyl, just some generic stuff that dosnt stretch well, Oracal is what you want.

This pic shows the reason you need a kouki garnish to be flush:

I know 326 Power has the all-red ones, and Origin has the smoked red/clear, but what is the company that has the regular red clear, as well as smoked, and ricer?

Slightly off topic, but more important than knockoffs anyways ;)

the red clear ones are on ebay - i like my kouki lights tho... screw that other shit... it looks good sometimes but never as good as the koukis

nothing will ever look as good as the koukis they just cost so much it almost seems kinda pointless to put that kind of money into tailights, but they really do look soooo good

Just go for it Yuta-chan
I think it would look good against the gold paintwork
You should be able to make them look good even so.

I had the same crap, they fit like shi* and didnt line up for crap. Not to mention, the bulbs wouldnt even lock into place and the harness' didnt even match to the OEM ones. Complete waste of money.

custom is the only way to go for the hatch tail lights (or kouki if you've got the money)

Let's email Ebay companies to start making Kouki knockoffs, they'd sell better than anything else out there.

how about no on the knockoffs. Some tails look nice, on the right cars. Not stock 4x4ing s chasis's with steelies.

All the Ebay tails are knockoffs of mostly Uras and Origin.

I got a set of ebay lights. I had a vinyl made for the middle. It's not perfect but I like it.

I also picked up texture when painting the lights.

What they looked like when I first got them.

I decided to go with the s15 silvia logo. I like the look. I would've like the angles to match the cut of the lights but that's something I can cut later on down the line.
