S13 Front vs. Pop up's.

Im currently building my coupe, but I would like a little advice from you guys. Almost every single coupe in my area has the Silvia front, so im kinda going towards the pop ups. Also it would be money towards other parts. I have the cash to get a kit rite now, but the thing holding my back is what front bumper I should buy. I like them evenly, so just looking for a few opinions.

BTW you should change the poll. Change from S13 to Silvia. S13 is just the chassis and includes all 89-94, not just Silvias.

I votes S13 (silvia front) since you stated that you own a coupe. Im a big JDM fan, with that said i build my cars like people in japan. Since the US coupe model got those (imo) crappy half ass popup lights id swap it in a heartbeat. If you had a hatch id go 180sx style all the way (popups). I do like the sil80's i seen some crazy sick looking ones its just not my style. I have also seen some nice coupes with the popups again its not my style.
My best advice is to weigh out your options with money and basically it will come down to whats more important to you?

Silvia conversion is getting old. In Japan their doing the USDM pop-up conversions. I just stuck with the pop-ups on my coupe but I went sleepy eye with the HID fogs. It's a little work but it's worth it.
I didn't go with a kit though. I got the Xenon front lip.

i feel ya man. my 180 is having the same problem, but at least they are stuck in the UP position. it pisses me off that they wont go back down.

Assuming you have just gotten your driver's license and do not have several years of, night time, driving experience. I voted for pop ups. The silvia headlamp beams are set up so that more light is on the passenger side of the vehicle.

If you are fixed on swapping the front end give yourself at least two or three years of night time driving before going for the swap.

I've got one hatch with Silvia lights, and the DD is a chuki. I hate chuki, but I do have a pignose lip for it. Which will probably find it's way onto the other car when it gets painted, hahaha!

Silvia front ends are pretty hot. If your trying to save or spend money on more important things first stick with the pop ups. A lot of Silvia owners in Japan do the 180sx front swap on their rides. We want what they got and they want what we get. Either way is JDM if you think about it.:fruit:

Hm... I loooove the square look of the s13 front but there's something about the pop ups that I just can't pass up. I think pop ups win this one.
