i know its not a spectacular shot, but i was in the moment when i snapped it. its very quiet up there by yourself. you start to think about weird shit. i think the blue somwhat portrays how i felt when i shot it. but i know, i was there. which do you guys prefer??
thanks
and just because i really really like how this one turned out.

Full color > B&W for that shot in my eyes.
The green/brown grass "erupting" through the asphalt is more appealing then everything blending into shades of grey. Plus the little splash of red graffiti on the corner of the building offset by the single red tree to the left of the picture draws your eyes in to the details of the picture.
Just my take on things. I'm not a photographer or an artist.

Wow you take some cool ass pictures. I think the full color is better tho. You kinda need the color to see how Grimy everything is

i say the color one. you can really see the dark side of what your looking at but you also get the contrast of what thatguy said the new green poking through the dead crumbling asphalt...... pretty f'in cool if you think about it..

thanks guys.
shooting a rebel XTi. all these were taken with a sigma 10-20mm.
i love the super wide characteristics of this lens. especially in a decaying urban setting. sometimes it can add alot of drama to the photos.
this photo is a good example of that.

not many lenses can capture that much of the ceiling. (shot at 10mm.). the peak is 76" from the floor.

MCS, michigan central station. built in 1913, just west of downtown detroit. it was built slightly out of the city because they anticipated alot of growth. growth that never occured... 17 or 18 floors. the top floor was never finished, and was used for storage. they had a restaurant, barber shop and other crap inside. the last train rolled out of town in 1988. since then, it has been abandoned. changed ownership a few times since then. from what i understand, it was even sold for < $100k since then. wich is amazing in itself. a few movies were shot in the place. the island, transformers, and atleast one other i cant remember. some basketball movie.
heres a link to the wiki page.
