This happens with modified cars often, especially ones where its questionable if you actually have shit to back it up under your hood. For intance ive had alotta civics in the past and would have alotta cars always trying to test me and see what i got. How ever when I bought an evo, almost everything else looked the other way, i miss that. Civics would cower. Only then would sti's other evos, and much higher end cars fuck with me. A 240 where there can be potentially alotta things under your hood, from stock to rb, you'll get alot more people testing you. Get an Rb and let um find out the hard way!

I've only received compliments on my car. I <3 when people give me the hand gesture asking me to roll down my window for them to ask, "What year is that?" "It's a ninety-eight." and they just nod their head in satisfaction like they just solved a 1000 piece puzzle.

I remember a while back when I was driving alongside a 355 Spider and gave the guy a thumbs up. The guy replied with a smile. Same thing happened a few days ago except I was the one receiving the thumbs up. I revved up and dropped the clutch.........lol j/k. I just smiled back and kept driving as usual.

Maybe I have been messed with. I was out with my lil' bro taking pictures of our cars one evening and some Mustang driving by actually went out of his way to slow down, rev a few times, and drop the clutch...hard.

i get it the other way around i dd my 4 door eg and i get it sometimes in that car but most of the time i don't pay any mind until they start shifting lanes like crazy still i just keep going. It makes me want to go ahead and re slap my turbo on the civic but no. When im in my 240 i get the "oh goshers hes in a 240 so am i, lets get close and see what he has and then let off my bov at times" (usually those are the young high school kids with stickers of company's they dont even have on the car.) Most of the time its the older drivers i see and they just nod and go on there way.

Other cars it varies. Most of the time when they are doing that and revving there cars i laugh and i get in front of them and drive slow they'll either switch lanes and drive off fast because im going slow or they just move to the next lane due to the exhaust smell. lol.

LOL, I have a S13 that looks like a POS, it's my daily driver, and get guys wanting to race me all the time. I just keep cruising, cause I have a commercial license and need it for work. I really get stared down, run up on, crazy lane changes in front of me, when I'm cruising the 69 Datsun 510 with my KA conversion. Soooo tempting to show them how fast it really is. Crazy thing is I have buddies with SR20 or KA-T, pushing 325 RWHP in 510's. They tell me how fun it is to put those EVO's, SR 240's, and built honda's to shame. The guys just sink down in their seats and try to put it off as they weren't really trying, cause the got smoked by an old Datsun. Most give the thumbs up for making an oldie so fast.

this is probably due to the fact it has no front bumper and the side markers are falling out.

and the lst time i was at the track (drag) i had everyone laughing when i was waiting in line and had me n my friends push start my car.

hahaha... my favorite incident was sometime last spring when i was driving home from the pipeline pizza (super autobacs) meet every thursday night... the infamous MDX (yeah as in Acura MDX) the one that is lowered with n1 style exhaust and has a huge wing, i know im not the only one who has seen this THING!

I just got on the freeway and my lane had to merge into his lane, coincidentally he was next to me, i let off the gas so i could fall back and merge behind him. when i let off the gas he slowed down and lined up with me, i pressed the brakes and he fell back with me, by this time i had maybe 50ft before the lane ends. so i drop a gear and get by him.... next thing you know VROOOOOOOMMMM ricer fly-by! it put a smile on my face .... muahahahaha

Fall and spring are the best times to drive with the windows down. But then the fuckers think this is an open invitation to talk. Most of the time I would have the music up but they can't hear it cause I have good speakers that I don't have to blare. Then they honk to get my attention. Ask some stupid question(that got and sr20?) and then I look for the light to change.

Best one was this douche in his Lancer with his 2 or 3 goober buddies. He honks I turn down the radio. Then goes on some ramble about SR's and drifting and shit. I roll up the window during his "question." This causes him to go into a tard rage. Which, I am sure that he used every curse word him mom taught him. Light finally changes and I drive off and get wind of his sweet sawzall muffler install.


Best thing is to keep the music up or the windows up. If they do get your attention and it's not an emergency and they are asking dumb questions. Point at your ear and do the 'I can't hear you.' Then do the 'sorry' and the 'bye' wave.

I'm lucky, my wife approves and loves driving around the finished cars. She will come home, and say, some kid just TRIED to race me. He had a slack jaw as I whizzed by him, with no loud exhaust note, just a deep motor screaming, and the cold air intake sounding like it gonna suck you in to the motor. I guess he had his rev limiter cut his car out, cause he couldn't hang with me doing 100+. I love my wife!!

So if it's late at night when I'm on the highway I get messed with a lot by hondas, camrys, and the like even though I have a busted up front end. Haha. No offense, but a 240Z is an man-magnet, there isn't a day where I'm driving it and I get some kind of positive comment, look, or even conversation about the car. Trust me, I've driven some crazy cars, and nothing has come close to the type of attention it gets (even from women of all ages, positive or negative) from everyone.

This happens with modified cars often, especially ones where its questionable if you actually have shit to back it up under your hood. For intance ive had alotta civics in the past and would have alotta cars always trying to test me and see what i got. How ever when I bought an evo, almost everything else looked the other way, i miss that. Civics would cower. Only then would sti's other evos, and much higher end cars fuck with me. A 240 where there can be potentially alotta things under your hood, from stock to rb, you'll get alot more people testing you. Get an Rb and let um find out the hard way!

The other day I had 2 girls pull up next to me in a big dodge pickup truck. I'm guessing they were probably in their senior year at one of the local athens area high schools.. a couple of rich girls.

So anyway, I hear this big loud truck rev at me at the traffic light. I'm thinking "no fking way." So I look over and see these 2 attractive young ladies looking over and smiling at me. So I nod and smile. I figured they were just wanting to say hello and then the light turned green and they gunned it.

We pull up to the next traffic light which was about 50 yards from the last one and I just look over at them laughing. They rolled the window down so I turned my music down to see what they wanted. They told me to come party with them. The unfortunate part of this story is that I was on my way to pick up a date..

By the way.. my car is not sexy, so it must've been me. :D

It did have an exhaust (might have been titanium) and what looked like some sorta oem lip. I would have given him a compliment on the car had him and his passenger not been so cocky.

The coolest moment was when I had some guy in his 40's try racing me in his porsche. Also had two seperate occasions when some older guys tried showing of in their miatas. Now I got older people flexing on me it seems lol.

So far no harrassment from cops. Really with my car I took a more grown up approach. I've been into imports since 8th grade, didn't start driving on my own until I was 17, and didn't get the s14 til I was 19 I think it was. So I went through all the phases from body kits and neons to what my style is now without even owning a car then. I wouldn't say I had a ricer mentality back then cause I thought everything you did had to be clean, but kinda flashy. I'm glad I didn't get a 240 (my first car) until I reached the stage I'm at now. Now I'm kind of simple and clean.

I think thats why some of the older people have messed with me like that guy in the porsche. People take me serious even though my car is not insanely built. They expect more when its less...and some for whatever reason ask, "Is it turbo?" Yeah I know I'm speechless too lol

Well today I had time to put my largus front sway bar, spl tension rods, zeal coilovers and nismo power brace. I took the car out to test drive it with my buddy and he tells me to look over and 2 kids in a civic hatch are trying to race me. I was driving to a back road that had a short s turn to see what I could do now with what I put on. I see the kid follow me, I don't see him until I make it to the intersection turn around and see him pass the first corner. So I decided to flash him as I passed laughing.

I still need to put the spl front lca, rlca, tie rods, cusco ruca, spl toe rod, spl traction rod, rear largus sway bar, and aluminum bushings. Then we will have some fun. Can't wait for an autocross.

Oh now I remember, one time when I still had my s14 I was driving home from the Irvine meet. This black rsx started pacing me very aggressively. I was bored so I downshifted to 4th and left him behind about an eighth of a mile, switched on the ambers then just started cruising normal speed. He caught up, went right next to me but this time he rolled down his window and glared at me. Pissing him off was pretty fun haha.

Just get this, i use it. Its a bat/steering wheel lock. That way if a cop sees it and harasses you say its a wheel lock. Top part is steel while the handle is wrapped in a soft foam. So you can physical with comfort .:keke:

I have the Z32 MAF, I had to re-run all new ground wires before I could get it to run right with the maf.

Ya it starts dropping off about 6100, I usually shift at 6 anyways, redline is 7000, So its not a big deal. But the GT35 should do the trick soon.

1 reason is I was running 8 inch drag slicks in the rear and I was sideways at half track on every pass. 2 I have not fully tuned the car yet. Still working out the kinks. 3 no launch control, So it was a fat dog coming out of the hole. Still cut 1.6 60's, but it was falling way off. Ill get it tuned in for next year. I have a new set of 11.5inch wide M:t drag slicks for it, new suspension setup and hopefully a new turbo to play with, My goal is 6 flat. That will put me at mid 9's 1/4 mile. But this all might be going on the back burner as my machine shop I work at is putting together a Prototype car, 2300 series motor single turbo on propane running 9 flat 1/4 miles, its going to a full street legal setup pumping some muscle put of a 4 cyl. I have to get my NHRA drivers license to drive it, So that might be my main priority next year.

I dont have no videos yet, The one time I took the camera to the track I broke the axles, SO all you see is my car move 1 inch and bounce off the rev limiter. Season is over now, Ill get some next year.

I gotta call bullshit on this... With your set up I'm highly doubting you're having traction issues on a prepped track running 8 inch tires.. I've seen 180's with t88 34D's on Nitto 555R's get plenty of traction on streets made of coral.

Streets and tracks are two TOTALLY different ball games, You will never hook on the street like you will on the track and vice versa,

If you have ever raced at all you will know what im talking about, and if you have ever put any power at all down to the track you will know that some cars are more sensitive than others.

Not every car is setup the same nor will hook the same, Like I said before im still getting the bugs worked out. Which means its not 100%.:loco:

Well Track racing is totally different than street racing, I get traction too with my 275-40-17's on the Highway in 3rd gear but at the track the 8 inch slicks were not cutting it, every time I hit 3rd it was kicking the rear end out.
