Due to popular demand, 626 Drift crew will hold another event at the Balcony.

Heres some info

When:
Dec 2nd, SUNDAY

Where:
WSIR, Balcony

What:
626 Drift practice/ competition

Price:
$110 if you prepay before the day of the event and $140 at the day of the event. So sign up quickly!

Prize:
The 626 drift crew goal is to encourage local drifters to become better at drifting. And thats why we reward the ones that really strive to become better!

Basically, the drifters will practice on the course that we setup. At the end of the day, we will have an ASSESSMENT or Competition for the drifters. Of course, there will be rewards. Dont be intimidated by the word "competition", because we are only doing it for fun!

Beginner competition winner:
1st Place: Half price to next 626 Drift event @ the balcony
2nd/3rd: $20 off next 626 Drift event @ the balcony

Advance:
1st Place: Half price to next 626 Drift event @ Horse Thief Mile
2nd/3rd: $20 off next 626 Drift event @ HTM

I believe its $110 if you sing up and register before the event, and its $140 if you decide to pay the day of.

These track days are a lot of fun, a lot of cool people, and pretty good drivers. I learned how to drift with these guys in july!
(remember that guys! it was pretty ugly! lol)

There are a lot of people who will help you too. Not sure if you drive an rb car or not (asking becuase of your username), but i drive an RB s13, so i could help you out!

yeah im pretty much down to go and tear it up with my stock 89 240 and my welded diff. ive never really drifted before but fuckkk it =]
since im new to drifting at tracks and whatnot, what should i bring besides my helmet and gloves. is there going to be a tire station there?

no tire station, but there is a tire shop up the street from the track. Take a jack and basic hand tools.
uummmmmmm....o yea.....dont forget to bring your balls!

im looking to put an rb25 in my s14.. but dont have all the funds for it.. yeah im going to go.. me and my stock s14 woot woot... oh anyone know anyone selling a cheap rb25 front clip...or a very cheap sr2o front clip... i want to install an sr20 before the event if the price is right.. dont need the install just need everything for the swap.. i really want to drop it in before this event

When you have too much power, it spoils ya ;)

Just make sure you get a LSD and maybe some coilovers?

man i gotta move to cali, i like the fact that mattycakes and brian drifts with their ka and have like heavy everything else on there. shows how much skill they really have. people down in florida that saw tha zt event with brian was hatin cuz he rockin 18x10 but only got a ka. haha, they give me hope in naka drifting

Tech is pretty simple. We look in your hood. make sure there are no leaks. Have a SA2000, or even better SA 2005, approved helmet.(pretty much anything but a styrafoam bike helmet or your rollerblade helmet works)

Bring all your KA's, I run a stock SOHC, welded diff, springs, shocks and a carbon fiber print shift knob from autozone.

I know of shops that do. Im gonna take my car to get caged at the end of december. The day i get it back is the day its gonna go to the bodyshop. Im gonna get the roof sprayed black. im adding some spoilers, pretty lights and a new coat of the same color paint. Then im gonna buy 6 more FNo1rc's. Cant decide on the color yet. I would want to go with silver again, but i cant find anyone who carries them anymore. So its between bronze or hyper black. decisions decisions. So that means my car is gonna be outta commision till about early feb.

You have all the track time you could handle, and you have people there to help you out if you need it.

Watching is fun, but riding a long is even more fun!!!!!!!
Bring a helmet and ask your favorite driver for a ride along. im positive they will say yes.

i'm going to be at the next event also. hopefully, not like last time, i will have a working car at the track. either i have to try and fix my sil.180, the gas cuts out while hard cornering, or i'm doing a manual swap, lsd, and coiloverrs on my stock 92 ,.

the pressure. the time. keep your hopes up please. we all want to have a good time.

it was so cold the entire day. Im pretty sure everyone loved the event

BTW everyone, I didnt shoot a single picture the entire day!!! So this time I am counting on other people to post pictures!!!!

It was a great event! I went through 4 tires by 9:30am !!! Had to drive to Lancaster, call a 24 hour service #, pay a tire shop $100 to come in, buy 6 tires and a pair of Z rims they had lying in the back, and make it back for more drifting!!!!!!

IT WAS AWSOME !!!

Plus I let other 240 owners drive my car to help them learn and give some hands on instruction.

COME TO 626/side2side EVENTS !!!

yea, 626DC events always have ALOT of track time. .. so much that i never have enough tires for the whole day.

that's proof that there's mass amounts of track time, and every one of the guys there will tell u the same thing.

hahahaha!!!! yea i remember doing tandem donuts forever, i started to get dizzy!!!!! lol I Saw that you started doing donuts, then like a minute later i was like fuck it here i come, and just met up with you mid slide, shit was tight!!!! Then i started focusing on your blown tire. Then i thought, maybe this isnt the brightest idea ive ever had lol. It was funas hell..
