I'm thinking about trading my B&M short shifter for a stock or different shifter... I'm pretty sure its the older version because it has the rattle at higher rpms, which is the reason I want to trade it. The shifts feel very nice but the rattle bugs the crap out of me...
If anyone has a stock shifter in good condition, hit me up and we'll discuss a trade.
Must be in SoCal. something like 50 bucks + stock shifter trade .. or something like that..
and since I can't afford any downtime with my car, we would have to meet up and swap shifters on the spot.
I am located in Upland, CA and I'm in Riverside a lot.

This shifter will work with all s13/14 ka/sr As well as Rb but two screws won't go in iirc.

hmm .. do they? i thought they fixed the rattle issue with the newer versions of the B&M?
the thing that is annoying though is it rattles at like 3500rpm which i don't consider very high...

My B&M v2 doesn't.
But my Re-amemiya does. Do Do I give a damn? No.
As long as it does what it needs to, then it's all good.

Let me know if you decide what you want to do. I'm in Long Beach

--I've got a V2 B&M on my S14 and NO rattle other than from the Aluminum shift knob it came with, that just wont tighten up completely.
--I'm pretty sure they added a plastic grommet to the ball end of the shifter that inserts into the gear box. This, when well greased, absorbs quite a bit of the vibrations, plus alot of filler (rubber) where the bottom end is connected to the top aspect.
About your issue with wanting another stock shifter, just run down to a local chop shop or car salvage and nab one, anyone will work from S13,S14, or for European yards... skylines.
