Hey everyone, I soo need your guys help. I have a JDM S14 Kouki Differential and I would like to put it into my S13. How can I do it?

Besides diff cover swap, do the axles fit because its a JDM differential?

IIRC, you can only use the bare differential itself.

S13/S13/Z32/J30 and a few other nissans use the R200A diff.

Axles, i'd just say use S13.

How about the output shaft bolt pattern is it the same?

If its 5 bolt output shafts, then you'll need 5 bolt axels. You can get them from a jdm s chasis or infiniti j30 (I believe) Simple as that.

Everything else will bolt up (assuming the differential is complete) . Just swap the rear cover and you're fine. I ran a s14 welded diff on my s13 for a few years.

USDM cars = 6 bolt
JDM cars = 5 bolt

Forgot to add, s14's use 2 large bushings where it mounts up into the subframe. It'll all work

You've been here for three years. You should know better than to ask such a remedial question.

sorry to dig up a old ass thread, but we here on zilvia are firm believers of SEARCHING.....

s14 vlsd into s13
I already know that the rear cover of my s13 has to be swapped onto the s14 for it to work.
I also know that the s13 diff bolts straight onto my subframe, while s14 uses bushings.

Question is.....
1. Ive read numerous wirte ups/threads about s14 to s13 diff swaps, but i am still unclear of the whole drive shaft situation. WILL MY NON ABS DRIVE SHAFT ALLOW FOR ME TO JUST BOLT IN THE S14 VLSD?
2. I bought the diff from another member on here, but the s14 vlsd didnt come with the bolts, washer, nor the bushing. I found this pic online during my search. ARE THESE S14 FRONT MOUNTING HARDWARE? AND IS THIS ALL I NEED TO SECURE THE DIFF THE RIGHT WAY, I DONT WANT TO STACK WASHERS. I WANT IT DONE THE RIGHT WAY THE FIRST TIME, RATHER THAN HAVING MY DIFF FALL WHILE IM DRIVING.

HERE IS THE SITE I FOUND THE PIC AT FOR MORE CLARIFICATION:

sorry its from nico.....

1. Yes
2. Yes, you can source those bolts off a J30 aswell or buy solid ones.

word thanks bro, you said i can soure the bolts off of a j30, could i also use j30 washers and bushings? i only ask because there is a j30 at my junkyard lol was thinking bout snagging the diff off of it, but decided i wanted the same gear ratio, and not deal with the whole axle situation.
