View Full Version : Fake Nismo Parts On Ebay?
Is it just me or do these look like factory parts with a cheap silver finish and a cheap nismo sticker on them. The welds look nothing like something Nismo would put their name on. I know Nismo does make some parts that are stronger then factory spec and dont offer any adjustment features but Id see no reason why they wouldnt make rear suspension components allow for some adjustment.
O well, just my observation. Could be way off here.

i was never aware that nismo made these kinda parts. if they did, they would've at least branded their logo into the part instead of a cheap sticker. and, iirc, it would be the old crappy logo instead of the newer, stylish logo.

...something's smells fishy 'round here... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>

call em up, they should be more than happy to tell you that people are selling fake nismo parts and to buy their more expensive, higher quality/performance. if anybody would wanna know this, i would think it would be nismo. hell, they might even give you free shit, cause it's just taking away from their market share.

well camp beat me to it. yes Nismo sells control arms with bushings installed that are pretty stock looking. Are those its hard to say. I mean when I replaced the bushings on my front lower control arm bushings I put in Nismo bushings and I also installed S14 ball joints and for fun I painted the control arms silver . Now if I had slapped a Nismo sticker on them you would not have known the difference. except for one thing . I tend to think real Nismo control arms that are silver would not have a black base coat like the ones in the pic on ebay. Makes me think someone stuck Nismo bushings in them, painted them and put the stickers on.

Yeah...these look pretty shitty if you ask me...IIRC, all the NISMO parts I've ever seen, their logo is stamped into the product somewhere. Even on my RSTB, it's stamped onto each end plate. I emailed this guy and asked if he had any documentation or any other means of verifying that these were true Nismo parts...I guess we'll see what he has to say about that...hehe

That's just a load of cheap crap that he's selling, trying to pass it off as NISMO parts. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'> I don't see any NISMO stamp on the parts, what a load of crap. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':pissed:'>

Well, the guy emailed me back saying that they're genuine Nismo parts because the bushing sizes are totally different from stock. Then he sent me these two links for pics:

Well, I went to check out the pics...If you go to the root directory:

Notice anything funny about this? For one thing, I don't see a 180SX or S13 or even S14 on the dam page...Secondly, these suspension arms look to be for an R32 Skyline...That would explain why the bushings are "totally different sizes from stock". They're for a different car! I know there were a few things interchangeable between the older Skylines and Silvias, but suspension arms? Someone is getting screwed out of quite a bit of money here...
