I don't know much about engines.
Okay, I get the idea that if you put too much boost in an engine, it shall blow.
Other than a turbo upgrade, intercooler upgrade, and forged pistons.. What else do you modify an engine to make more horsepower without blowing it sky-high?
Really I'm asking about any 240sx swap. SR20DET, RB20DET, RB25DET...
Any relatively simple-to-grasp answers?
Thanks in advance,
Robert.

start with mouting machine guns to the front of the car
thats the first mod on any turbo project after its running
THEN tires
then suspension
in that order

Fuel + air = power
More fuel + more air = more power.
That's about as simple as it gets. If you cram too much air into the cylinders at a time, things will break. Ways to reduce your risk of breaking things while still forcing a lot of fuel/air into the engine include: using forged pistons, lowering the compression (via different pistons, or a thicker headgasket), retarding the timing, using high octane fuel, etc. etc.
And yeah, search. Read through some build threads, spend some time just looking around. There's a lot here.

I admit it was a dumb question, but a simple "try searching" like the first and second reply will do, ladies.

What do you mean "bailing me out"?
If you're saying you're a mod/admin and saying I have been warned for ban instead of banned, I guess thanks for not banning me? In that case, one more shot. Got it. Yes, sir...
But as I see it, I asked a harmless question, and got ridiculed for lack of knowledge. I joined THIS car forum for 3 reasons: I love 240's, I'm getting one very soon, and I want to learn about them. I was saying thanks for the serious replies and and no thanks to sarcastic ones. Machine guns? Come on now... A simple eye roll is sufficient.
