I was doing a lil' researching and came across a post which I found to be quite funny. From May 5th, 2005...

I have an S13 SR20det Blacktop and a walboro 255, and stock injectors. I sometomes cranck up the boost to 13 psi and dont know if its really safe? I have the Apex 550s and a z32 maf but did not install them cause gas is 2.50/ GAL. When i crank it up, my Greddy EGT gauge doesnt really go up that high on boost, but i still want to be safe. Is it ok to up the boost that high on a stock motor with a FMIC and stock injectors?

There was word that gas in Michigan was going to hit $4.00/gallon over the summer. It never did, but reached high up in the $3.00 range.

Man, I remember watching my parents fill up back in the day when I'd watch the digital meter. The gallon and sale meter would go up together, so one gallon was one dollar. Those days...

Flash forward 10+ years, now I'm driving an S14 filling up 93 octane at $3.12 a gallon. It's funny how sr20tom (quote) was complaining about $2.50/gallon two years ago when I'm satisfied with gas being $3.12/gallon.

I can't even imagine filling up in Japan...

How much is gas in your area and where do you usually fill up?

I remember when gas was $0.75 a gallon haha. I don't mind paying $3.00 a gallon though. It's not like anyone else is getting a better deal anyway.

i only pump shell or chevron gas and always pump premium...my car just tends to run better with it even tho it is a ka.

its around 2.70-2.90 a gallon here.

it drops a good bit, even for premium, during the winter but i've heard that this year the drop wont be as great as it use to be. Oh well ill guess we'll wait and see.

My car drinks...downs premium for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and after hour meals. Partially my fault. I like to open her up whenever I see open road lol. I'm going to say 22-25mpg.

maybe the government isnt allowing any water powered cars to be mass produced because they know people in the US will support any war any where if it means cheaper gas

and then one day you will be like, oh look the world is one big country

i heard that alaska has enough oil to support the US for 50 years, anybody else hear that?

When I went to Japan last winter, my cousin was filling up premium and I told myself, yup, prices are pretty bad here over in Japan too. Then it hit me...they're even in liters :smash: At least my cousin was able to just chill in his wagon while a person serviced it...

Yeah, our U.S. gas prices are definitely low compared to other countries. I could have bought a Civic if I wanted good gas mileage, but I chose not to.

I don't even pay attention to the price. I need gas. That's the bottom line. I can complain about the price, but it's not gonna change it.

Two tears in a bucket,
Fuck it.

Yeah honestly $20 is a full tank in anything that has a D16A1 in it, and not only that but it'll still give you 30-40mpg. Damn imagine how much you would fill up 10 years ago? $5 was like half a tank.
