This summer I was hoping to purchase a s14a ka24de and rebuild it in my garage, get it running in perfect condition maybe put in some cams(and other stuff havent looked into it yet)not even sure what those are . But then next april I will be 18 so I'll be able to take out a loan and buy a turbo kit and have that put on next summer!!!! Hopefully by the end of this summer ill have my car lookin clean. Well does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to rebuild the engine? Should I have it bored out? Should I buy pulleys or anything? I know this is a long way away and i mite end up not doing it but I am really bored rite now and would like to know, so please just put up with the stupid questions

first and foremost you need to figure out what you want.
a rebuild for a turbo motor does not follow the same route as one for a N/A application.
i wouldn't personally call a cam change part of a rebuild... but...
the cam profiles that you look for with a turbo setup are different than those for N/A, all i know is that with a turbo high overlap is a bad thing (maybe someone can help me out here)
the biggest difference that i can think of right now, is that in an NA app, you would tend to raise the compression ratio of the motor to up output, whereas in a forced induction app, you would lower the CR as the forced induction system raises the effective CR
The KA is pretty much maxed out size wise, nissan bored and stroked the block almost to hte limit, iirc the limit for an overbore is .040
i dunno about the stroke
one thing you might consider, is working on other systems, ie work on suspension, brakes etc. in case your motor pov changes, or you hit some serious $$$
good luck
