So a couple of days ago, I started feeling kind of sick. Noticed red spots on my arm (wtf?). Today it's everywhere. Chicken pox. I'm 25 yrs. old damn it. Can't go to job interviews, can't go out. Damn it's itchy and my stomach is in pain. Sucks. Shoulda get vaccinated when I had a chance. If you never had CP. Go get vaccinated people!

chicken herpes is no fun @ all. but @ least you dont have it festering in your mouth like my friend nate did. calomine (sp?) will work great. use oatmeal shampoo like a bodywash it helps keep the duration down

Take a bath in corn starch. It relieves the itch. Take some Benadryl too- it will also take the pain and itch away, and put your ass to sleep. And, buy the economy family size calamine lotion.

Thanks all for the nice comments. It really does suck to have it. I recommend everyone to get vaccinated if you haven't. Trust me, this level of discomfort is almost unbelievable. I slept for 12+ hours because being unconscious is almost euphoric considering. Damn the continous abdonimal pain, the pulsating itch, and my scalp hurts like a bitch. Apparently, CP spreads to the head and form blisters there too. Not to mention my face looks like it's been sprayed with acid and probably feels like that too. On top of it, I am suppose to fight the temptation to relieve myself via scratching!!!!! Get vaccinated people! You'll thank me someday. I'm back to watching more movies and passing time.

chicken pox is a form of herpes if u scratch a sore then touch anywhere else it can and most likely will spread. same principle of not getting a beejer when your woman got a cold sore. the moral of this story being: stop touching yourself.

edit: oatmeal and cornstarch baths will draw moisture (including the herp juice) out of you infected flesh making the duration of said situation much shorter thats why we are reccomending it. also stay away form anything with petroleum distillates in it (vaseline and some skin lotions) it will only make it worse

I just regret not getting vaccinated. It's ultimately your own choice, but I just regret mine. Because I'd rather not go through with this. Especially if someone here has work and/or school and missing a 10-21 days of work/school just isn't an option. And to answer your question, I am not pushing anyone, just making a suggestion, that's all.

AFAIK, vaccines contain the virus itself. Vaccines are given so your immune system can kill it and adapt to it. So in a sense, vaccines are "poison". Not all vaccines are 100% proof. Are you talking about all vaccines in general or just the the CP vaccine? I'm sure there are countless vaccines that have helped more humans than do harm in general, such as tetinitus (sp?), polio, hepetitis...?
