I would like to get a SERIOUS club started with everyone....I was the person that held the Pentagon meet, the Springfeild meet and the 240SX BBQ at Seneca Park...I would like to get together with everyone to decide a club(of some sort).....we have about 20 cars so that would make a serious impression on all of the other clubs in the area.....well how about a FALL MEET and we can sit down and discuss everything....i need some options for the time and date of this meet.....

How about Tyson's Corner area...of course it's really close to me <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> , but it's also accessable from 66 and 495, which will connect in about 15 minutes from 395 and 95. &nbsp;Lot's of places to meet (I met on the top deck of a store lot about 3 years ago for a 240sx.org meet), and lots of choices for resturaunts. &nbsp;Just a suggestion <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sigh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':rolleyes:'>

Actually I wasn't there, a friend I work with told me about a 240 doing a dyno at 190. &nbsp;Then he said the car was the same color as mine with FMIC and JDM engine...so I automatically knew it was you....once I mentioned your riding on hubbies. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Back to the club thing...I know alot of spots we can meet up in Woodbridge..in fact I know this one parking lot thats in front of a Chinese buffet....all you can eat, food is off the hook and you'll find a nice spot to park your car...i hope. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'>

8pm wil be dark, but Tyson's or Springfield will have lite up parking lots. If we go to Tyson's we can meet up at the top level close to Hechts(sp) But I prefer Springfield over Tyson's because there is an empty lot close to where the Silver Diner is. Also Tyson's is going to be packed around that time (5-8pm). I'm definetly in... I think Springfield or Tyson's is fine by me. &nbsp;Any further south is a bit of trek for the MD guys. &nbsp;Of course it looks like some of you are coming from down south as well. &nbsp;If we can keep it on the 28th or so that'd be cool. Since I may be in Japan the 1st to the 7th of October for work.

Originaly this was supposed to be a meet for all the active 240 members in and around the NoVA area. A meeting where we would discuss a club that a few of us are trying to start. From what Ive read it looks like things have gotten a little skewed.

BTW, remember when we were in Sliver Diner and that yellow S-14 rolled by and I was like "that car has a S-15 in it!!", well I found some old(during the summer) pics of the car....well the one I was thinking about.

That WAS NOT the one out that night. It was a yellow 97-98. I would be very surprised to see a 240 with an s15 motor running around this area. If there was I'm pretty sure that we would all know about it.

I live right near Vertex. &nbsp;To get there, get on 495 towards Tysons Corner. &nbsp;After you pass Gallows road and both 66 exits, it will be the first exit on the right. &nbsp;It will be route 7 (Tysons Corner). &nbsp;I think its the 4th stoplight afer the exit, you will turn right onto SpringHill Road (There is an Exxon station on the right at the intersection of 7 and Spring Hill.). &nbsp;Right before the first stoplight, make a left into the driveway where NTB is. &nbsp;Go straight down that alley with the speed bumps and Vertex will be about halfway down the building.

About the motors. I'm gonna give em a call and see whether I can open an acount with them. That way we might be able to get these motors even cheaper.
However (I haven't seen the website yet) with most places that don't cater to "performance" engines, you stand a better chance of getting a motor with something wrong ala dented oil pan etc etc. Plus if they don't sell clips I feel sorry for whoever buys a motor from em.

GTspecR: Remember to spray a healthy amount of butt lube on those exhaust bolts. They are probably rusted to all hell by now so you might have a hard time getting them off. Other than that, exhausts are a peice of cake.

Foxcolt (Jed?): Yea, one of my unfortunate drifting sessions. Slammed a guard rail while drifting around a deer, the back bumper is all messed up, and the quarter pannel is smashed pretty bad. Since the car is black, you can't really see it unless you look closely. The damage has been there before I met all you guys, so I don't know why no one noticed it except for Josh.

cIvIcKILLA: It's gonna rain, but I'll show up there for a bit, see who's there and what not.

Well, sorry not to see anyone Friday at Rockville...it was kinda tied (or rather cuffed) up upon arrival. &nbsp;That was definately no fun, especially since the cop (officerJC Ross) was so unwiliing to beleive that I had no part in the burnouts. &nbsp;He told me I was arrested for "Drunk Driving" at one point..hard to believe..especially with a crowd of 30 yelling that I had done nothing..and the fact that I was nowhere near drunk. &nbsp;He was shaking, stuttering and totally red faced, and didn't take lightly to me asking him "calm down". &nbsp;Anyways, I reported him Internal Affairs direcly after..this guy needs a less stressful job if he can't stay cool! &nbsp;I was thinking along the lines of Waste Management..but anyways, finally cut his losses I guess and sent me on my way.

As of right now this "club" is still in it's infancy stages. I personaly would like to see this flourish into a team of people who are dedicated to their cars and to this whole scene. Not specificly the "import scene" but the car (I know I'm gonna spell this wrong) enthusiast scene. Who knows where this'll go. If we have enough interested people we will deffinatly challange other teams. Maybe even at some point we can rent a track for ourselves. or somethin.

Team Silvia is cool. But how many of us drive silvias.
This club doesn't have to represent our cars, we do that fine. What is has to represent is us. I personaly don't see this as being a 240sx exclusive club albeit the majority of members have 240s however all of us have good friends that we would like to have join also. Unfortunatly with the rarity of our cars keeping it 240 exclusive will only hinder our growth in the long run.

Instead of trying to think of a name that sounds cool how bout we think of a name that represents ourselves as a whole. What kind of people are we? What do we do? With that kind of mentality a name will just fall into place.

Some of you might remember (or still know) Team Capitol. I personaly think it's a great name. It doesn't represent their hondas but it represents in a sense where they are from and more importantly where they want to be.

That's why I like the idea of having team as the first word. Because in a sense that's exactly what we are doing. Not a gang or a club but a team of individuals that strive to help ourselves and each other out. That's what I would like to see this flourish into.

I have one thing to add to this. I have decided to migrate the midatlantic240sx yahoo group (which I started about a year ago) to an actual site with forums. I know that a number of you use that mailing list to setup local meets and what not. I feel that making that list more user friendly would benifit every on in the mid-atlantic region. I am talking to the 240sx CCA about making it an official regional chaper site. In any case there will be a midatlantic site and forums up in the very near future. I will post information to the list as it develops.

I am actually on my way out to meet josh and jon at springfield mall. &nbsp;From where u are.....get on 495 north going towards the wilson bridge. &nbsp;Take exit 19A, Route 50 towards anapolis. &nbsp;Take exit 10 i think it is to route 3 towards crofton. &nbsp;When u get off the exit stay left. &nbsp;About 5-6 miles (maybe a little less i am bad with distances) on the left, you will see a sign for Capitol Raceway ROad. &nbsp;It will be next to a Wendy's and a Taco Bell (i think). &nbsp;Well make the left there and then follow the signs to capitol raceway. &nbsp;After you make that left into the taco bell, it will be another left then the first right. &nbsp;Call me or josh if u get lost.

Ok well tonight at &nbsp;well late on 27o South to 495 South on the interstate/highway Johnathan aka CivicKilla240style race a Turbo Prelude then 5th gen model.He was running 9psi on a TD18 greddy turbo and john spanked him three times and then took a supra at the same time right after the last race.I know alot of people don't condone strret raceing but hey it was &nbsp;not in a residental street.But i want ed to just relay the the civickillas sr has clamed yet another victim"sp"

Cant make it to rockville friday because i have to go to a party and im not driving down thier after drinking. but Greaser is coming down with his drag car and we will be out and about on saturday evening Bustin ass in his and my ride Around my area most likely (GLEN BURNIE) maybe we will ride up to rockville.
