so i wired my viper alarm and put door lock actuators in my 240 and they were working fine, and i was about ready to put everything back together for the day, and they actuators and relays started making loud noises and stopped working properly. they move the locks part way. i changed relays, same thing.

i dont know why both actuators would just go bad at the same time.....

i put my voltmeter on the power wire from the actuator then, and pressed my remote button and it read 150.something....im confused. i unplugged the actuators and the power wire now reads about 12.

anybody?

Make sure you're plugging the door lock/unlock plug into the correct port of the brain. There are two ports that are 3-pin that the plug can fit into...one is the correct one and the other is the programming port I think. They're color coded. I plugged mine into the wrong one once and it did something similar.

Did you wire the relay correctly? Purple wires are 12 volt. brown/black and white/black are ground. blue is unlock and green is lock. Could be that your actuators are hitting the door panels when moving the rods. try arming and disarming while putting your hand on the door panel and you can usually feel if its hitting.
