what is the size of your wheels? How low is your car? What is your alignment setup?

whats the offset of your wheels and how wide are they??? just roll them.. its easy cheap and worth it... then you have no worries.

ya, you need to include your spec's
my guess is he has like a 15x8 +10-20 which in reality you shouldn't have issues with tire clearence by thinking about rolling
i run 225/45 on a 17x8 with coilovers and no roll/pull or rubbing.

ya a 17x 8 +35 you can run 225/50 up front if you wanted without any issues. once you hit the 0 offset on a 17x8 run 215/45 and you shouldn't even need to do any body work
you honestly need to be running some aggressive offsets/sizes to need any mods to fit your wheel/tire combo

i have a 1.5'' drop. i run a negative camber in the rear. i have OZ rally 15'' wheel. i want to run a 225 in the rear with a 215 in the front.

then do it.... but you still havent provided us with the offset of the wheels... thats a HUGE deciding factor. find that out and well take it from there. :)

i still have my money on 15x7 +35 at best
lol if i am right, run a 205/55. unless your into fat chicks and like the bulged out look

Actually you can run up to 245/40/17 with that wheel in the front with no fender work, I know I have done it.

high offsets give LOTS of space... you can stick your dome in there with a +35... haha. jk.

Ya but space is good if your going for performance and not the look. It gives you not only tire clearance, but it keeps the scrub radius close to stock which helps steering response. I currently run 235/40/17 RT615's with 3mil spacers and it looks pretty good, not all sunken in but still not flush. Honestly though I want a bit more aggressive offset and 9" wheels.

1.5" drop isnt much. so im guessing u wont rub (i didnt) im betting ur wheel is 15x7?
if u dont want that bulgy look, dont get too wide a tire. it will bulge and look FUGLY

on a 7 wide, the most you can run without a bulge is a 205... and that still is almost a bulge.. well, depending on the height of the tire...

you can fit wide ass tires when you have a high offset
you shouldnt have problems even with 225 all around
dont quote me on that tho

OP is talking about these wheels

Believe they're 15x6.5 with high offset. They're stock oem wheels on the Lancer OZ Edition. FWD wheels pretty much. 205 should be the widest you should run with a sidewall of either 50 or 55. If you go bigger they're only going to bulge out and look worse then they would normally look.
