I should be rolling my fenders sometime this week at the latest this weekend commin up .. hopefully tomorrow thoe .. anyways by renting out a fender roller.. i could pull the fenders correct? any ideas on how? all i ever done is rolled them with a bat so a fender roller(eastwood) is a new thing to me ..
Is there a special way to do it? do u guys think it'll come out good? I'm running 18x9 +22 (w/ some kicks 15mm spacers) = +7 to clear Z brakes and in the rear 18x10 +22 (w/10mm spacer ) +12 just because ... any ideas/ pix/ suggestions will be gladly appriated .......

also some people have told me that once the tires are on and the car is actually sitting on the floor its different so yeah, will see tires should be on the rim shopefully tomorrow .. picking them up from aspec/ logan and picking up my rims from Jack aznoc<-- something like that ..

Im thinking those are test wheels seeing as he stated that he will be picking his wheels up from Jack this weekend. That wheel looks like it will hold air and besides having a slight bend like that is a cheap fix if the wheel shop knows anything about the products that they sell on a daily basis. Do correct me if I am wrong about any of this though.

and yes, with tires and sitting on the ground it will be very very different.

run some 225/40's all around

camber it, put it on the ground, then see where you stand.

Though at least rolling the fenders would be a good idea, don't pull til you see it on the ground with tires and know how much you have to go.

don't even bother with a fender roller.

just get under there with a hammer. hold one hand pressed against the outside of the fender and hit the fender lip flat with the hammer in your other hand. flatten that lip good!

after your lips are flat, put a 1/2in of newspaper on top of the rear tires, disconnect the coilover's bottom mount and lower the car onto the newspaper. get a couple people to get in the trunk, to put some more force on the fender.
booya, pulled rear quarters.

while you're doing the fender work, i'd also bend up the part of the frame above your front wheels to give you a bit of extra clearance. if you go low, these will cut slits in your tires if you don't bend them. take some vice grips and clamp onto the frame and bend it inwards, toward the center of the car.

also, don't forget to relocate the front harness (either through the engine bay or above the frame) that runs above the front tire on the drivers side!

All good advice

But remember there are fender harnesses on both sides of an S13, do them both.

for some reason I thought this thread was about street/drag racing, like racing from a pull or a roll.

your fronts arent going to fit

your rears will, but get ready for some paint - because the rear quarter panel will buckle (especially near the fuel filler neck)

cheers

From what I've seen and people I know, coupes tend to buckle easier than other s-chassis. watch it carefully

With a 225 or a 215 and camber (and a slight pull probably, depending on camber) they will fit. I'm running an 18x9 +5 up front with a 225/35, 3.75* of camber, and a slight pull. The pull was needed with a 225/40, but I think I could get away without it since I've put on the 225/35.

EDIT: Here's the only pic I have of the front since I put the new tires on. Hope it helps...

P. Edit: Here's a cell pic of the wheel/tire. Not a TON of stretch, but a LOT shorter, so I can get lower.

All good advice except for the hammering part. Just get a roller. You'll be able to get the lips much flatter with way less work. News paper pull is absolute money. It makes for perfect fitment.

You might have a bit of trouble with your fronts. I'd run 215's for sure on the front. I find Federals fit a bit wide compared to the Falkens I'm used to. Just in case you're planning on using those.

pfffffffffffft...you're kidding right?
sure they will fit.
extreme fitment, but they will fit.

if you take your time, heat the fender, and use the newspaper pull technique you can get a super clean pull with no buckle. just take your time.
10+12 isn't THAT crazy, 6mm more poke than 9.5+12, which is cake to fit.
run 235/40's and you'll be gravy.

the front is a little tougher situation, because with 18's you don't have much space to work with.
you can't pull the front fenders all that much... just hammer the crap out of the lips and make sure they are as flat as possible.

your front wheels will poke a little bit, but it isn't going look mexicano styleee...

Max neg camber. 215/40 and you'll fit.

... or if you want to run a bigger tire just get 10mm spacers....

All good advice except for the hammering part. Just get a roller. You'll be able to get the lips much flatter with way less work. News paper pull is absolute money. It makes for perfect fitment.

fender rollers are for pussies! hammer them shits!

+1 for news paper pull. Yours looks amazing!!!!

I'm gonna have go ahead and disagree with you theeeeere... Yeeeeaaahhhh... [/officespace voice]

I used a hammer/torch/rag for rolling and it works great. Pulling... not so much. There's a write-up I wrote on here somewhere about rolling.

215s up front is probably a good idea. 215/40 or 35 if you can find it. Federal's do run wide. Falken 452s run wider than the ST-115s too though.

HAHA, you pulled the shit out of those front fenders! look at that fender/door gap!
I also think you pulled a little too much on the rear, should have newspaper pulled it, and avoided the buckle...but good shit anyways man.
Now you just need to go mo lowa.

lol the door gab if ur reffering to where the door closes .. it isnt a gap it's that the door wasnt closed haha and if ur reffeint to the other pasrt its because i kicked in the door once when i was mad haha so if u actually look at the car i might need a lil extra pull in the rear ... but yeah so far i think its comming out good ... still need a lil work and send it in to the body shop to get everything done perfect !
