well i have decided that i have way to much money in my car. i need to pay off my credit cards so i am looking to sell this block, or trade it for a stock sr+cash

red top
86.5 mm bore 9-1 compression
weisco pistons with coated skirts. all pistons were balanced to 1/1000 of a gram-$350
tomei h beam rods with arp l19 rod bolts-rated to 800 hp. also balanced to 1/1000 of a gram-$1100 (look them up on spl)
acl coated race bearings-$250
micro polished and balanced crank.
block was bored with a torque plate- (torque plate rental was $125)
block was honed at operating temperature
balanced as a complete rotating assembly with crank pulley, flywheel and clutch. these pieces were also balanced individually.
new oil pump/water pump/timing chain assembly.($350)
arp main studs-$100
the bigger arp head studs-$120
commetic gasket-$100

total parts-2495

head- full race port-
brian crower stage 3 cams- $300
greddy ras- $80
supertech dual valve springs &
super tech titanium spring seats and retainers- $350
full radius valve job. flows more than any 3/4/5* valve job.
valves and head were cut with a carbide cutter, not stones.
custom lifter setup,- $200 the head can rev to 9200 rpm, i have only taken it to 8500 because i do not want my piston speeds to exceed 25 meters per second. the setup is still hydraulic so no adjustment is needed.

grand total on parts-$3425

the machine work was done at Calvert precision engines in denton texas. he builds mostly pro mod motors, but he has done many import engines that made alot of power and are daily driven. like an 800hp 300zx that has been daily driven for 3 years.

machine work and assembly was $1700
stock sr20det long block was $1200

grand total- $6325

the motor right now has about 1500 miles on it. its broken in and never been beat on. i did take it to the dyno with a very conservative tune (11* of timing up top, and 11-1 afr) letting off at 7k rpm at 17-18lbs of boost it made 355 whp and 273 ftlbs of torque. if i would have gone to 8500 who knows what it would have made.it was a 3rd gear pull. most people do 4th gear pulls because it usually shows more power. thats what the dyno guy said. i built this motor to handle 500hp and that is easily attainable with a little more timing, boost and race gas.

buy this and save a couple thousand dollars, and a couple months of time.

asking $4200 plus shipping

if you have a stock sr long block with no leaks and good compression i will give you $1000 trade in on the built block.
